Exclusive Wheels Meet and Greet, Thursday, September 29th (old thread, see the new updated thread)

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Sept 29th The HCP is free, not working and available to join. I've been asked by denny and the mods to show up and have my own Q&A with the ner......errr.... members of S2.
I have a few ground rules and demands we'll go over in a separate thread as the day draws closer. Normally don't lower myself to actually breath the same air as you basement dwellers, but feeling a bit cheritable lately!
I'll bring all my HCP swag to be autographed.....oh wait.......never mind.....

You're confusing the Eric Milligan meet and greet with one you think we want with you?

Are you just assuming there's going to be a lawn that's needing to be mowed?

Denny - you should come out and join us. We can have our once-every-decade face to face interaction.

My travel is restricted due to health issues.

I'm on immune system suppressants and I seriously don't want to get sick. Even a cold could be an issue.

I'd love to.

I might go see the Blazers play in LA, though. I can drive there.

@SlyPokerDog will be there. He can be the stand in. And if you fluff his pockets, it would be the most action he has seen in years.

I won't fly. I do not want to be in a tin can with a mix of people and their regional bacteria, and snotty coughing children.

Plus I do chemotherapy on Fridays, and I prefer not to spend the next three days feeling like crap in some hotel room.

I have Lupus, an autoimmune disease. The risk of infection is my fear of flying.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methotrexate

Methotrexate (MTX), formerly known as amethopterin, is a chemotherapy agent and immune system suppressant.[1] It is used to treat cancer, autoimmune diseases, ectopic pregnancy, and for medical abortions. Types of cancers it is used for include breast cancer, leukemia, lung cancer, lymphoma, and osteosarcoma. Types of autoimmune diseases it is used for include psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and Crohn's disease. It can be given by mouth or by injection.[1]

Common side effects include nausea, feeling tired, fever, increased risk of infection, low white blood cell counts, and breakdown of the skin inside the mouth. Other side effects may include liver disease, lung disease, lymphoma, and severe skin rashes. People on long term treatment should be regularly checked for side effects. It is not safe during breastfeeding. In those with kidney problems lower doses may be needed. It acts by blocking the body's use of folic acid.[1]

I do ok. I am happy with it being as good as it's been the past several months.

I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

I have Lupus

I remember Lupus from the Bad News Bears!
