I don't really believe in torture for most cases but going out of your way to punish criminals seems cruel and unusual.

All in all, this isn't a bad idea. But I do think the effects could be bad if a person were wrongly convicted and given a sentence like this.

I'm not against the death penalty. I don't like paying to keep someone alive that kills people, rapes children, etc. If we could come up with an alternative to prisons as we have them now, I'm all for it. I'm actually in favor of the penal colonies. Dump the fuckers off and let them fend for themselves.
