When it comes to electronics are you a fanboy of one brand?

Samsung, LG, and Sony are usually good for me. I just bought a couple of gopros for me and the kids and love them, its really amazing to see what a 12 year old imagination can do with that thing.

Samsung. My cheap 720 plasma in my bedroom has 2000 hours of bf3 on it and the slightest bit of burn in that you only see on a pure white screen. My note 3 is just awesome. Battery lasts a long time and I can watch movies on it that look amazing.

Samsung tvs......Sony stereos......Apple

Are they made by the same people. Have loved both those brands forever.

They were up until a few years ago. I actually think Samsung is the better company right now for TVs, and Sony still kicks ass on Blu-Rays and gaming. We just bought a Samsung plasma TV last year for our family room downstairs, and the sports clarity on it is incredible.

I had a 1080p panasonic plasma downstairs and bought the 720p samsung for the loft and the picture was so much better on the samsung that I put it downstairs instead. At 15 feet viewing I can't see a pixel but I can see better color and black levels. I think the expensive panasonics might be better but I can't imagine a better 700 dollar tv (2011 model)
Now it is in my bedroom because I finally got a LED for the living room due to brighter lights.

We have a 52" Sony LCD upstairs, and 32" Sony LCD in the bedroom, and a 42" Samsung plasma downstairs. I find myself downstairs to watch games these days.

FWIW, the LED scam is really a scam. It's LCD technology with LED backlighting. I'd rather wait until 3D TV is perfected before I'd blow $2k on an "LED" TV.

Yeah, I just meant LCD is better for our living room with west facing windows. I really wish Plasma had a few more years being advanced because I prefer them.

Plus it was a stripper 900 dollar 55 inch samsclub panny. It is a decent tv, probably get a projector screen to put in front of it for movies at night if I change anything.

I like my LCD TVs. Our family room doesn't get direct sun (north facing windows), so it's a perfect place for the plasma.

I don't see the phosphor trails some see in plasma but I see blocky pixelation in every LCD I have ever seen. Can't watch football on an LCD to save my life. 60-120-240 megahz whatyacallit makes no difference.

My 52" Sony is decent for football. It's nothing like the plasma, though. The 'ghosting' from old plasma TVs seems to be thing of the past, too, as you mentioned earlier. It was a big problem with games for a while, right? I'm not a gamer, other than the occasional dumb Wii game with the kids.

I put 2000 flippin hours on the samsung plasma playing bf3 and the only ghosting I saw was the ghosts of the thousands of helicopters I shot out of the sky with my tank....miss that game but I sleep at night now.

The only electronics company (if you can call them that) I'm a fanboy of is Valve.

Apple products are alright but tend to be too fluffy and restricted in general for my liking. Also iTunes is terrible.
Google is alright but I definitely wouldn't consider myself a fanboy.
I've had a Samsung monitor go out on me after only a few years which irritated me. Should have lasted much longer.
Microsoft is so-so, but Internet Explorer and Windows 8 both suck.
Neutral with Sony.
I used to like Blizzard but everything is WoW nowadays, and I have never had the time or patience or desire to play a MMORPG. Still, they have a lot of classics (Warcraft 1/2/3, Starcraft, and Diablo 2 are ones I particularly enjoyed)
The company I despise the most though is Electronic Arts, for many reasons but mostly because they treat their employees like crap- I think they've been voted "worst company in america" multiple times now. The whole Simcity fiasco was amazing

I never did get into hardcore gaming, which is weird, because it's not like I don't enjoy competing online. Maybe I'd get too far wrapped up in it and try to become some Gaming God. LOL

It was so fun. If I didn't love my girl and my mom had a basement I would live there and play Battlefield all day.

Everything Half-Life, Portal, and Team Fortress is outstanding. I've also grown to love Steam as well.
