It really is pretty sad when you can say that Cervelli is the best hitting catcher the Yankees have had over the last 3-4 years.

I guess that what bothers me about this year Rick. I feel that these players were abandon from the start. The needs were obvious from the end of last year. Catcher was so badly handled, Martin should have been resigned, plain and simple. He wanted to be here, he performed well here, and yet some asshole said that we can get by with Cervelli and Stewart. There is no defense to that logic. Now looking back, they left these guys out to dry. Sure, players failed, but we stayed with them through there failures and beyond.

Martin stunk as a Yankee, with the bat and the glove, and he may be improved over in the little league, but that means squat in the AL, and his bat is still nothing special, Cervelli was most certainly the better C this year before getting hurt, it may have been the result of PED use, but still...

...there was NO reason to resign Martin. He batted .211 last year for the Yanx and is batting a whopping .227 this year...Pierzynski would have been a better choice.

Yeah although he did a decent job with the pitching staff, I'm really not to broken up about losing a 210 hitter.
