I used to read Dave at bedge, but learned he knows little more than I. I like Casey at forward center, but I am still looking for a deeper analysis. Any suggestions?

Truth is, we analyze the hell out of everything on this board so I don't really feel the need to read post game analysis by a journalist. What more are they actually providing?

The good thing about buying the NBA league pass every year, is I get to see every game for myself, so there is not as much need for post game analysis. Most news sites just give a brief recap for what I already saw.

However I still come here because although some posters can be annoying with their "agendas", there is still some good comments. And most importantly I never need to search out sites because our posters are good at supplying the links here. It is a one stop shop. Especially if I am concerned with injuries from the game. Someone always finds out the latest info.

believe it or not Hawaii is considered part of the blazers blackout area, so very few games make it to tv. obviously no comcastoption and as stated league pass blackout. lakers on the otherhand........ as if I needed another reason to chant "your not Jordan" whenever kobe shoots free throws. league pass audio has wheels postgame but tittle analysis. hoops hype twitter page for the blazers then off to any links that look interesting,(except quick and golliver)
I come here to read the game thread, then forward center

Wow that is hard to believe. I know there is no logic used in these decisions, but that goes well beyond.

Blacked out in Hawaii? No joke? I feel your pain, brah.

Kind of hard for Hawaii to be Blazers country when you can't even get the games. Pretty soon Oregon won't be Blazers country either. Same reason. Yeah, good marketing strategy.

mind boggling, the local time warner cable company even carries a la sports station with daily laker shows. needless to say we have boycotted them and adopted hulu and apple tv
(and secret streams.)

What can anybody else tell me that I didn't see with my own eyes? I like coming here to hear peoples opinion, but there isn't a writer that can tell me what I don't already know.

Exactly. There's nothing (outside of a true inside-the-locker-room fart diary) that a journalist provides that this board cannot.

Full disclosure, I enjoyed Ben's media row reports, because he gave us input into the in arena feel. About the only reason to visit that site anymore, and he left this summer.

No one goes and watches Talken ball?
What channel is that on?

Is that the show with the fat comedian with the speach impediment and the fat old guy that nobody likes who used to be a sports columnist?

Sounds like a great show.

If I couldn't watch the game for some reason, I'll look at the box score. That is about it.

I used to be such a Analysis Junkie years ago. Street and Smith, etc type mags that talked about teams. Now I just know that my knowledge of this game is soooo good that people come to me for analysis

The best analysis to me is Stotts post game interview. Beyond that I read Casey's forward center articles

I loved Barrett's blog. I don't think he did it last season though. I like Casey and Stotts as well

I go here for Post Game. Only reason I check out ESPN.com or OLive is for quotes from the players and coaches. I do love The Starters the next day. They are very thorough.

Well I always try to check S2 first. I don't want to read the full game thread, because that can get off on a tangent.

Since all you cocky sons of bitches insist you know it already. I think I'll start threads after the game specifically for everyone to give a one post analysis of their own.

Been doing pre-game and post game analysis for years now. The fun really for me is pre-game. This is where I have learned the most. I like to post a pre-game usually on O-Live and then see exactly how close I can get? Been completely wrong many times but as time went on I started to get a better feel and of course it is easier after 20-30 games of the season.
Doing shot charts and advanced stats is nice but the eye test is the best way for the most part. Put down the I-phone or tablet and watch the damn game I always say.

S2. I would also like to add to the BE hate bandwagon and say that the new writers make it seem like any one of us could write there.

I admit sometimes I go to the opponent's forum for some delicious postgame analysis... :ghoti:

Between HCP and Sly, I get all the ANALysis I need.

Wait...that didn't come out quite right.

Thanks man..... Wait!
