Where Is The Best Place Around Here To View "Fall Scenery/Colors"?

I'm considering taking a leisurely Sunday afternoon drive tomorrow and want to get the biggest bang for the buck in terms of viewing/photographing the colorful Fall scenery.

Any suggestions as to where I might go in, say, a 4 or 5-hour round-trip excursion?

Gorge. You could venture east to Stevenson, Wa.

If it's not cloudy or foggy, the coast is pretty too.

Or you could just drive around Portland. Council Crest, Mt. Scott, Rocky Butte, Powell Butte (the one in Portland, not the one near Sisters), or if you're really looking for some nice peaks and valleys, just check out Mrs HCP as she showers. She puts on a good show...and let's just say, the leaves are beautiful this time of year.

Make sure to go up into Carson and White Salmon. Its very nice that way.
