Apparently from everywhere... Wow so far what a balanced team effort and team distribution. Ballanced scoring and balanced assists.

That's one of the main reasons I'm excited about this team - it should be a balanced attack, rather than having one inefficient scorer* lead the team to a win or loss.

*Although I'm really hoping that Dame doesn't follow in LMA's footsteps...he needs to regain his efficiency!

Check this out:

Could The Blazers' Offense Turn Out Better Than Expected This Season?

Forget what your gut tells you and look at the facts - the 2015-16 Trail Blazers are actually a team made up of very efficient shooters. I know. It surprised me too. The above chart lists every non-rookie on the Blazers' roster, sorted by their effective field goal percentages from last season... Studies have shown that a team's eFG% is the greatest predictor of its offensive success in a given season.

Seven guys who had a better eFG% than LMA did.

Looks like Lillard is picking up where he left off last season, jacking up those threes and drawing iron.

Yep, and six above league average (discounting Asst. Coach Kaman)... and those six will likely be our first six players (I personally think Crabbe starts over Hendo). Give CJ burn off the bench with his good eFG% and you've got enough support to keep the team afloat while starters rest.

Best comment quote: "The fundamental tenets of our offense are gonna stay the same; other than the fact that, you know, we're not going to throw the ball twenty times to LaMarcus on the block." - Terry Stotts, Courtside 9/23/15
Do you think that "you know" was subconscious or intentional?

The scoring is going to come at the rim or from beyond the 3pt line.

Unlike when we had LMA, who took the worst shots possible in basketball.

The Bulls had a guy like LMA in Luol Deng. The guy took few 3pt shots and many shots 1 step in from the 3pt line. When the Bulls traded him for cap space, they got better.

I was prepared for them to be a lot worse than that because of the lack of experience but it looks like these guys are taking advantage of the opportunity they're getting with confidence. I love seeing a team that never takes a play off. It reminds me of the Drexler teams. I think this season is going to be a ton of fun to watch. I'm predicting they'll surprise a lot of teams and they'll have a lot of "good" close losses as they learn to close out games. They'll get worked by the refs a lot this year due to inexperience and lack of name recognition but I love seeing Dame draw more fouls. They're only going to get better and I can really get behind these guys. You can tell they all want to be here - those are the kind of players Rip City loves!

Lets be honest, we are going to get games like last night, and we are going to get games that look like Saturday at the YMCA.

I would like to see one or two more shooters on this team but maybe it will come in time.
