Watching Channing Frye kill us last night got me thinking. Last year I would've said Jarrett Jack, but he's not helping Cleveland much, is he?
Nominations:
Jarrett Jack
Steve Blake
Travis Outlaw (actually playing quite well)
Martell Webster
Greg Oden (ho ho)
Dante Cunningham
Jeff Ayres (Pendergraph as was)
Josh McRoberts
Channing Frye
Gerald Wallace
Raymond Felton (ho ho)
Jamal Crawford

Omer Asik doesn't count, because he never even played a minute for us. Your nomination? Any obvious ones I've missed?

None of them (in place of who we have).

Jermaine O'Neal because I think he could back up and help our young bigs. (Have to cut Claver I suppose.)

I think Craig "The Rhino" Smith would be good coming off the bench. Also think Martell Webster or Jarrett Jack would be assets but my favorite current player to return didn't get any love on the original post here..ANDRE MILLER!!!!

I can't believe I forgot him. Duh. However, I'm not sure Stotts would like his game, what with the lack of shooting.
I also forgot Eric Maynor, but that's a lot more excusable.

I actually wouldn't mind Gerald Wallace if Boston cut him and we could sign him for the minimum. I know he left under a cloud, but was that his fault or just the toxic atmosphere?

Andre Miller hands down. I think a backcourt of him and Dame at times would be MUCH better than He and Mo.

Bayless even though he has sucked this year. Always loved his tenacity.

In reality, channing Frye. Great guy and can hit the three. I never understood why so many people Shit on him when we had him. He is a great backup

So would you play Channing ahead of TRob and Freeland? Aren't we soft enough? We have plenty of shooters. Granted, TRob does not seem ready for prime time. But he needs minutes to develop. Frye is definitely an upgrade over Claver, so yeah, better is better.

Asik? He was kind of a blazer for a sec.

TRob yes, Freeland no. Were the Suns soft with Frye when they were kicking our asses last night?

I would trade Mo and Wright for the Professor and Martell right this microsecond.

How could you guys forget all these active Blazer vets not mentioned yet?

Camby, Elliot Williams, Juwan Howard, Telfair, Diogu, Tolliver, Thabeet, James Jones, Jared Jeffries, Chris Johnson, Sasha Pavlovic, Ronnie Price, Shavlik Randolph, Przybilla, Nolan Smith, Earl Barron, Stephen Graham

Probably because nobody wants any of those guys.

Jason Jennings.

Thanks, Maris. Using Basketball-Reference made me forget where my heart is, Sergio and Rudy.

Probably because nobody wants any of those guys.

Diogu, Randolph, and Johnson were last cuts, just before the first game. I forgot Sheed, who played last year.

Sergio and Rudy would have rocked under Stotts. I'm sure they are happy where they are.

Kostas Papanikolaou would've been awesome in this system.

Steve Blake backing up Lillard.

Sergio looks like an NBA player now.

I know that Raymond Felton is not a popular choice by the fans in Portland but the guy can play the game. I've always liked Martell Webster. I met him at best buy last summer as he was looking at cell phones. Seemed like a nice guy.

I would want them back in this order for this year only ignoring contracts:

C: Jermaine Oneal, Jeff Ayres(Pendergraph), Greg Oden, Hasheem Thabeet
PF: Zach Randolph, JJ Hickson, Channing Frye, Dante Cunningham, Josh McRoberts
SF: Martell Webster, Gerald Wallace, Travis Outlaw, James Jones
SG: Rudy Fernandez, Jarred Bayless, Jamal Crawford
PG: Jarrett Jack, Andre Miller, Patty Mills, Steve Blake, Serio Rodriguez, Eric Maynor, Raymond Felton,
