it does seem like the Vulcans, mainly Kolde, are running the Blazers (into the ground?) with Jody maybe being more big picture
there was some "reporting" that suggested that JA was raking in millions by being the executor/manager of her brother's trust. If/when the Blazers are sold Jody won't get a dime; the proceeds will all go into the trust.
however, the state of Washington has laws that stipulate it's entirely legal for the manager of a trust to collect a management fee based upon a percentage of the asset value of the trust. The reported standard is 3-5%. If the Blazers are worth 2 billion, JA could be making 60-100M/year; if they are worth 3B, her fee could be 90-150M/year. If the Blazers are worth 3B and the Seahawks are worth 5B, then Jody's annual income from the two sports franchises could be in the 240-400m/year range.
and those two franchises are just part of a trust. The total value of the trust and the rate it has been giving away to charities is unclear
IIRC, the NBA has a rule that says that no NBA franchise can be held in a trust for longer than 10 years. At the 10 year mark it has to be out of the trust and in private ownership. I'd imagine the NFL has a similar rule. PA died in October of 2018, meaning that if the reporting is true JA can collect management fees for another 4-1/2 years. I think we'll be seeing this shitty ownership for a long time
