Regardless of demographic statistics, if one never goes to Oklahoma, there is no doubt they're more likely to see a black person in Oregon than in Oklahoma - wouldn't you agree?

So, while your math skills are still at the top of their game.... I'd say your ability to read between the lines is lacking (at least based on the way I interpreted Maris' post, but I could be the one with issues).

Thank you. I get called racist or insensitive for my jokes (either on this board, out with friends, out in public, whatever....). But I'm not racist. Insensitive yes. But when I make fun of all races, including my own.... I do it more to get a reaction out of people than anything. I still to this day cannot grasp why people hate people of a different skin tone or ethnic background or whatever. Hate me because I'm an ass hole, hate me because I fucked your wife or your mom or your sister, hate me because I drove drunk and killed your family member or friend, hate because I personally did something that fucked up your life, but don't hate me cuz I'm a white boy. I seriously cannot comprehend hatred simply based on race/ethnicity. Just can't fathom it. Don't get me wrong.... I'm not perfect, and I've judged people based on stereotypes, but I'd like to think I don't hold onto these negative feelings.

Really, what I think it all comes down to is people are so fucking uptight. They're so uptight and afraid to hurt someone's feelings, they play the so-called guilt card. And I think people are so uptight that they often look for anything they can misconstrue and react to and blame race.

I get so tired of people playing the "race card". Those motherfuckers are always the most racist. "I'm being discriminated against because I'm black (or Asian or Hispanic or whatever)." Oh really? How would you know? People who call out hate against themselves generally know the feeling of directing hate outwards at others. The old saying, "Takes one to know one."

England is a much whiter name than Zimmerman, even. Too bad this guy is 3/4 Native American. I suppose that's "white" these days, though.

In a Thursday update on Facebook that appeared to have been written by 19-year-old Jake England, he angrily blamed his father's death on a black man and used a racial slur. He said Thursday was the second anniversary of his father's death.

"It's hard not to go off," given the anniversary and the death of his fiancDee earlier this year, the posting said.

"It's apparent from the posting on the Facebook page that he had an ax to grind, and that was possibly part of the motive," Willingham said. "If you read the Facebook post and see what he's accused of doing, you can see there's link between the two of them."
