I'd be curious to know.... God forgive me if it's been posted already, I honestly have not taken the time to look more into the circumstances surrounding the kid's dad being murdered by a black man (when I have free time to waste at work, I waste it posting here, not doing research on this crap to post here - that's what you minions are for), but anyone know whether or not the black man that killed his father did so as part of a racially-motivated crime? Or was he a person (that happened to be black) that just killed another person (that happened to not be black)? It's crazy when people take a non-racially-motivated crime, but because of race/ethnicity involved in the crime, people turn it into something bigger and make it racially-charged. Obviously, the kid's retaliation was racially-motivated. But I am curious about the crime on the boy's father.

The Tulsa World reported that England’s father, Carl, was shot in the chest during a scuffle with a man who had tried to break into his daughter’s apartment. England later died.

The man charged in the shooting is serving a six-year sentence on a weapons charge, according to Department of Corrections records.

Acting on an anonymous tip and backed by a helicopter, police arrested Jake England and Alvin Watts, 32, about 2 a.m. Sunday at a home in Turley, just north of Tulsa. The two men were roommates, and officers went to their home, then followed them several blocks to another home, where they were arrested without incident, police said.
