He is looking up in his mug shot. Lack of eye contact is one of the symptoms of autism. Wonder if he is

Again, I work with people on the ASD, you are spreading ignorance and exposing this post as an ignorant blowhard at an alarming rate.

I'm not the one ignoring a possible link. All of these shooters exhibit very similar characteristics, psychologically as well as their background and upbringing.

I honestly dont understand why you’re pushing this its “Autism”, thing every time this stuff comes up. Maybe he’s he’s got it, maybe he doesnt but you seem to want them to have it, like their is some anti Autism agenda. Its strange.

You know how easy it is to get pictures of anyone with weird facial expressions? It’s not hard. I have no idea if this guy has it or not, but I think its strange that before any facts are out there you’re jumping too, “it’s ASD!”.

I never made any definitive statements, you are putting words in my mouth and pushing a misrepresentation. I brought up the possibility that he could be based on his strange eye movements, which is a hallmark of autism.

There have been far too many mass shootings. As I said, many of the shooters appear to have some sort of Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as very similar backgrounds (lack of a father figure in the household, anti-social, etc). And they just snap.

Yes Im putting words in your mouth because I am trying to rationalize why you would bring up ASD on just about every thread in regards to shootings. When the stats don't really bare it out, and taking a couple pictures off the internet doesn't exactly seem like a strong case.

So many “signs” of autism can be found in people that dont have Autism that is seems like a reach to bring it up with no actual proof that they have it.

Have you ever seen a mugshot of someone who didn't look slightly, “off”?

Id get it, if you brought it up once in a while on these things, but you bring it up every time (at least that I can remember), and I find that strange...

I know we all have our cognitive bias’ but if every time you hear shooter, guns, and can find a picture online of them with their eyes doing something you deem to be, “weird”, you think ASD, well maybe you should rethink it a bit.

Ignoring the rest of your post completely, but I disagree with the last line. They do not 'just snap'. The plan it, they write manifestos, they stockpile weapons, etc.

Snapping leads to these manifestos, and the goal to stockpile weapons. Its not normal behavior.

I don't bring it up every time.

Don't you find many of the young, mostly white male mass shooters similar though? I believe white parents are more prone to ignore the signs that their child is mentally not right, yet choose not to get any kind of treatment or properly care for them. Like many, they can be willfully ignorant as to their child's disorders.

I truly believe there is a link between young male shooters and the parents failing to properly deal with their autistic tendencies. The more I post, the more awareness that is brought.

Do you think islamic terrorists are also autistic?

I live in Winter Park. What a deranged lunatic. Good thing I never shop at Walmart I guess but still, a bit scary that this right in my backyard.

This post is talking out it's ass.

Considering you are the only know for saying "Aspbys being Aspbys"...it sure seems to be some kind of weird agenda you have.

Continue watching the world with blinds over your eyes. #getwoke

Like I said, I actually have worked with people who are autistic, for going on 13 years. It's what I do for a living.

They are not known for being violent to others (not saying it doesn't happen). If anything they are more prone to shut down or self harm.

So again, you are basing your opinion on a very limited, slanted view. But feel free to keep trying to sound like you actually have a clue about these people.

It's a belief, and I'm probably right.

Actually, no. People who actually work with people with ASD, and people who studied it for decades, would probably laugh at you because of just how monumentally misinformed you are.
