Police are supposed to be paid and trained to deal with these situations better than citizens. Far too often they fail to do that. And that's not going to change until it becomes too expensive and more dangerous than doing it right.

None of what you said disproves what I said. It's pretty well documented that our police kill far more and our judicial system in general has far higher rates of recidivism and causes far more harm to local communities than most first world countries.

I'll continue to blame the cops and those who protect them so their buddies don't think it's acceptable to cover for them.

Anybody who thinks shooting that woman is an acceptable outcome of that situation should not be a cop.

Killing is not ok, regardless of your training.
