Whiteside is #7 in the NBA in PER

What's sad is the top 5 threads in this forum other than forum games or "Around the NBA" are:
- A thread saying Whiteside would be an MVP candidate if we were winning and suggesting trades that aren't even close to possible under the CBA
- A thread calling out a 20-year old for not playing like a veteran yet
- A thread equaling our leading dropping 26.3ppg and 7.5apg to the play of a "bum"
- A thread saying we should go after Chris Paul....
- A tank thread.

Sigh.

Hey, "actually..." guys--don't ruin a good story! And while you're probably right, and I obviously wasn't being serious, it's still not "impossible", which is all I said. :ghoti:
I know your not being serious, but nobody should consider this even close to remotely possible. I wouldn't even say there's a 1 in a million chance it happens. Maybe 1 in a billion.

It's impossible for Rodney Hood to say yes to being traded. This is where he wants to be. Trading him after he took a paycut and then got hurt would be such a horrible look for the franchise, that it'd be impossible that the organization would even ask him.

And then the tax, and the fact that it's a 7 for 2 trade.

Bumping the Chris Paul thread was my fault because I was reading about OKC not being able to find a trade partner for him and it made me think of that thread.
Lol I was just thinking about how funny it'd look to an outside observer.

Yeah, a lot of people don't consider the roster spot restrictions since the trade machine doesn't factor it in.

Yup. And you know I don't consider tax and payment in these trades. The only time I do is when there's something like us ending up having to pay an additional $9M and then fill at least 5 roster spots.

The only way I see the Blazers getting another league MVP, would be if we win it all.

  • Lillard: watches as his opponent goes around a screen
  • Whiteside: contests shot at the rim
  • Whiteside’s matchup: gets an offensive rebound bc whiteside had to help on Lillards’s man for 50th time this game
  • Blazer fans: “WTF WHITESIDE STOP BEING LAZY!”
literally all of the facebook Blazer group people.

The tank thread is great though.

Couldn't help but notice that when I came in to check out the scene.
Obviously, our team isn't having a good year.
Neither is this place.

I've always wanted to talk about why there aren't more sci-fi westerns in literature and cinema....6-guns and death rays; transporters and Appaloosa's; AI's and town drunks. That kind of thing

I actually really like Cowboys and Aliens. Very entertaining.

James Bond as a cowboy was great...he also needed to be either a clone or part android; and his girl friend needed to be a reformed vampire from another galaxy...who could change her hair color, height, and breast size. In other words, westerns + sci-fi + pornhub. Tell me you wouldn't have that in your netflix queue
