Lakersfan gets much of his news from Bill O'Reilly, which is not a reliable media source and isn't really real news. It's nice that he demonstrates a willingness to learn, but he appears to not have the discerning capabilities to deem O'Reilly's drabble for what it is..... Complete and utter nonsense designed to achieve an end.

Yeah its disappointing our generation is the way it is...."I hate bush"..for no reason groups....like you said they dont read, not keeping up with the world and are very shallow in there lives. I believe in some of O'Reillys beliefs, but hes way too cut-throat and very radical on what he thinks.

I only do well on my grades because my family pressures me to do well since like 80% of my family are college professors, or were at some point (as well as the fact that I'd like to be done with college before I'm 20 years old)Thanks for the props.
 
Exactly, people just thing Bush is a retard because the person to the left of them does and can make funny jokes. Being a Canadian I don't know much about Bush or American politics so I can't say I hate him for no reason.
 
Normally, I would agree - but George Bush has crossed the line of no return. I don't hate him because he's stupid - I hate him because what he has done over his candidacy. I question his intentions, and demeanor - I think he has a vendetta that he wanted to fulfill to follow through with what his father wanted to do but didn't get a chance. Yes - it's nice to provide a reason for why you hate George Bush - but at this point - if someone says I hate Bush, the things that that person has seen just by living is probably enough reason to hate Bush, in my opinion. Things are clear cut enough that an average person can tell that George Bush isn't a good President.
 
If you read about his history, and his autobiography, you know that George W. Bush is just a prick..A classic example of a spoiled son who didn't see/get along with his father. Watch this video of Bush drunk at a dinner party.
 
why do you care about politics so much, why don't you just be quiet about your president and go play hockey like canadians?

If America had Canada's international/military influence, George Bush wouldn't be talked about nearly as much.
 
It's sad Lakerfan is learning from such a horrible source in Bill O'Reily or w/e the hell his name is.I'm only 15, I think I know a good amount about politics for my age at least.
 
Nobody talks about our government here, I think theres some people that try to act american and make fun of him so they think they're cool, but usually we don't have a problem.

Canadians make fun of americans because they ahve all these issues, but in reality we're all in it together.

Canada is a dominion of Great Britian, so the Brits take care of a lot of Canadas issues. the fact that the US is an ally and has a lot of stake in what happens in Canada, so not a lot of countries have the gaul to take issue with the Canadians. But thats not to say that Canada doesn't have political issues, they have the whole Quebec succession issue. that Issue could change the face of the North American map both geographically but Politically as well. some Provences have been rumored to have said that if Quebec succeeds that they'll likely apply for admittence to the United States. U dont need to be all good at politics and religion just to be considered smart, but I will say BCB because of his well-rounded knowledge of posts with a humorous touch. You can be a smartass but if u cant catch the listeners with your boring crap well... BCB's posts arent boring, well at least most. There's some others on here and others I barely read their posts in depth. <-hint CB32 is smart in a basketball way frpm what I know and I was impressed with his contribution on radio.As for me... Yo no se. Some people look at me like im gonna kill em in real life. I should :shifty2:

I'm just going to say that most of the people that are in college are the smartest members on the board. Also, Valo is pretty smart and hasnt been mentioned. He's in the military.
 
Pestilence is amazingly underrated as a member. He has my vote in the next awards for most underrated. He knows his politics, and knows a ton about old school basketball.

Damn. Yall are makin me feel old by callin Redneck old. Yes, I like the way BCB and CB4 state their cases. BCB is also the member who recruited me, I believe (cant get much smarter). Redneck, although very smart and very well-informed, is a little too harsh for me sometimes. Not saying that that's always a bad thing, its good to have a strong stance on an issue. It just seems sometimes he should just put "This is the way it is. Period. You might as well stop this topic right now", after some of his posts. But he is an overall great poster.I, for one, would like to nominate the majority of the membership of BBW for recognition. For a group of young men, you are all very well informed and seem very open to other's opinions. Too many young people are so close-minded now-a-days and its good to see a community of young men with their heads on straight. Debates are thought through well and rarely turn into personal attacks. You can tell that people put thought into what they are going to write. And the knowlege of the game far surpasses that of any board I have visited. (Im sure my fellow "Old-Head" Redneck will agree with me on this one).P.S. I know I havent really been posting for a while (not like I was an avid poster before, but I did what I could). Classic case of a guy with too much on his plate right now. We are in the heart of our conference season and I have been on recruiting trips for the past 3 months. However, I do come to the forum VERY often and read. My main point being that, when you wake up tomorrow morning, you are probably going to see that I have posted a lot tonight. This is going to happen a lot. No posts from me for a while, and then a BOMBARDMENT of them in one night. Like I said, I have been reading your posts for a while, and have had my opinion. I just havent had the time to sit down and make an educated post. And I dont want to post crap. Keep up the good work BBW..................Ill be watching.
