So there are the "tear it down and rebuild" camps, and the "Tweak this roster and send expirings" camp.

But who could be our "Gasol" type player? The only Stars who are remotely disgruntled are Melo who wouldnt want to stay here, and maybe D-Will but I really doubt Utah is in moods to deal with us lol.

Who would be the others with a Cash Strapped franchise maybe, or Star who wants out?

I read Iggy but he seems to be having a down year.

Well you do know he has a brother. A brother who is underutilized in Memphis because he plays with a bunch of ball hogs. He literally could be, our "Gasol".

lol touche' on that one. But is he unhappy there? Or Memphis looking to get expirings? Not refuting your point, I honestly have no idea to either question.

We can only hope that ZBo whines his way to an extension so Memphis has to trade Gasol. Something tells me, however, that even they are not that stupid.

I have seen nothing to indicate he is unhappy, but I have seen frustration on his face in many games so far with how things are going. Last year one of the reasons Memphis made big steps is because Gasol was utilized more rather than less. But this year is a contract year for Zbo, and for some reason the ball movement isn't as good, and in many games, Marc Gasol is not utilized at all on the offensive end. More or less, Memphis has reverted to bad form. That has to be frustrating for him. I watched one game the other night where he didn't get an offensive touch until the 4th quarter. He then got 3 scores in a row but then Zbo and Rudy Gay came back in and he never got another shot the whole game.

Gilbert. Arenas.

Would be a gutsy gamble that could pay off huge.

Then again, Matthews is playing so well, maybe we don't need him.

I've thought the same thing.

Looking at both crappy teams, and then teams that might want to save money, or both....

Andre Iguodola
Rip Hamilton
Stephen Jackson
Steve Nash
Carmelo Anthony
Kevin Martin

Ben Gordon or Jamal Crawford would do great for this team's backup scoring, especially as I do not see Rudy as a long-term solution.

Pass. I don't think it's a coincidence that his teams always suck.

Gordon would be nice, but I'm not sure if he's the answer at this point, and he's grossly overpaid.

Brook Lopez

:devilwink:

Hey, nobody said anything about being realistic!

Are you kidding? He's a total dud. He's 7 feet tall and he's averaging 5.8 rebounds per game and shooting 43% from the field. Why on earth would we want that on our team?

We're 11 games into the season... Brook has more potential then that and his game is offensive.

It's early, Eric. Last season he averaged 9 RPG and the season before that he pulled down 8 RPG.

The most important stat: Do you know how many games he's averaged in his first two season? 82, he hasn't missed a game yet. *knock on wood*
