I don’t think Kreider should have the C just yet. He already has issues spending too much time in his own head and puts an incredible amount of pressure on himself. The C could weigh him down even more than it did to McDonagh. This is his first year not playing in the shadow (leadership wise) of McDonagh, Nash and Girardi/Stepan as well. Let’s he how he responds with an A first.

Give Kreider, Shatty, Zucc and Staal A’s for this year and reassess next offseason. Hank is the de facto captain anyway.
