Who here is actually all mad and upset at how things are going right now?

As long as Chip Kelly goes to the NFL I'll be okay.

I am not enjoying the season.

We are once again irrelevent in the NBA and talking about being good in a year or two. Last time we missed the playoffs it was for 6 years in a row. I hope we aren't talking another six years before we make the playoffs again.

Watching promising rookies develop can be fun and all, but this is a case of jsut been there done that. I long for the days that the Blazers are part of a conversation about being a playoff team with hopes of playing spoiler or being favored to win a playoff series.

Also not happy that I cringe during close games when the bench starts coming in. Is that bench really the best group of potential "chips." I hope a move or moves are made and some real excitement comes back to the Blazers and the Rose Garden.

Great points. One of the reasons people wanted to break up the Sheed Blazers was because for three years straight, we had been bounced in the first round. So we were patient and built and wound up with another team that got bounced in the first round. It's bullshit and now we're starting over again? The other 14 Western Conference have all won at least one playoff series in the last 10 years. We' the only team that hasn't won. How pathetic is that?

I know it's probably a stretch, but I'd like to see us play .500 ball all year long.

Assuming guys can stay healthy (given history, this can't be assumed), I think our starting lineup is solid. Add a year together under their belts, and assuming at least 4 of the 5 starters return, add a couple of players to make the team deeper, and I could see us making a solid jump next season, and getting back to the playoffs.

I know we're going to beat some good teams, and we're going to lose some games we shouldn't. Losing to Detroit was disappointing, but I really went into this year with little emphasis/expectations on record, and more about wanting to see some things happen that would leave me feeling good about our potential in the future (we have a rookie PG who looks like he'll be a stud, Batum is looking legit, Wes has taken his game up a notch, etc).

Dream bigger ...

Before the season started; didn't almost everyone in this forum believe we would have 27-32 wins a season? If that holds true; we are actually doing much better than expected.

I'm upset that Leonard isn't getting the P&R's like he should be getting. The guy has touch and can finish at the rim.

Problem is the majority of people upgrade or lower their expectations after every game. So if we just won then now we are going to have to win 40 games for the team to live up to someones expectations. Conversely when we lose then people think we won't win 25 games this year.

There's a pre-season predictions thread floating around somewhere. Off-hand I'd say 80-90% of the people put their expectations at somewhere between 28 and 35 wins.

I'm upset that we're not playing Freeland, Babbitt, Claver, Jeffries, and Pavlovic so they'll be ready next Fall after we trade Aldridge.

I'm underwhelmed. Batum and Matthews haven't made the jump to the proverbial "next level" and we are wasting LA's prime years in a rebuild.

Matthews has made a huge jump. Look at the numbers. And Batum was playing like one of the top 5 players in the league before he got sick.

I can agree about LA's best years are being wasted, but you say that Nic and Wes haven't jumped to the next level....... you realize you are talking about a late first round pick and an undrafted player. I think they have already exceeded expectations in comparisons to players that are in their same situation.

I expected a garbage season, so I'm not dissatisfied, which explains why I'm always positive and you guys love me, but now that I wrack my brain, I found something negative.

Stotts is vaunted for his offense (not so for his defense), so I'm disappointed that he hasn't made Batum consistent. This was to be Batum's breakout year, but Aldridge still hogs all the shots. He takes more non-3 jumpers than the rest of the team combined, which shuts out Batum.

Not mad, just tired of being an also-ran in the league. Been 12 years since the team mattered, and 20 years since they went to the finals.

It gets old, real quick. Hell, the Blazers have been nobodies for pretty much 18 of the last 20 years. We've served our time, I want to enjoy a season again.

You know, you're smarter than you look. Fams. ;)

27-32 A SEASON? This is to be for the new few years?

For this of you saying Batum and Wes haven't jumped to the next level- first of all, Batum was playing like a top 3 SF before he got sick. And Wes Matthews has the 7th best PER of all starting shooting guards. AND here are their stats from last season to this season.

Matthews
2011-12: 13.7 ppg, .383 three point percentage, 3.4 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.4 spg
2012-13: 17.8 ppg, .436 three point percentage, 3.0 rpg, 2.5 apg, 2.1 spg

Batum
2011-12: 13.9 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.0 spg, 1.0 bpg
2012-13: 17.8 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 3.2 apg, 1.6 spg, 1.1 bpg

Both players are having breakout years. Enjoy it.

I am enjoying this year more than any year in the past decade or so.

I really enjoyed the anticipation of watching Oden play those 82 games. I get sad when I think about it, but when he was healthy it was even more "must see TV" than normal for me.

This year's fun, too, though. Last year wasn't.

Enjoying it. IMHO we just lost 2 future HOFers (if they had stayed healthy) a year ago. It's not a surprise that we're not relevant. I'm really enjoying it because we hit a HR in the draft giving us a future #1 option to go with our 3rd wheel (LMA). If we use our cap space to get a solid #2 option (Josh Smith or someone like him?), then we'll have a real big 3 to go along with our superstar roleplayers (Batum and Matthews) and we'll have a contending team.

So, I'm enjoying seeing the new guys (especialy Lillard) develop while we wait to see what we do with our cap space.

I also enjoy thinking about how the national prognosticators wrote Lillard off and are all jumping on his bandwagon now. Really, that makes me smile every game.

Aldridge is an All Star and still our best player. Not a 3rd wheel behind Josh Smith.

The Blazers have already played some games? Weird, I'm not finding the games on directv.

I can't find the games on Dish Network either. Has the season started? I wonder if the Blazers have ever considered marketing their team on television? I've heard some sports fans watch TV.
