I don't know why you have any concern with the All-Star ballot. That's probably the most irrelevant aspect in NBA basketball. Fan voting for All-Star spots is a joke in general, but even with the underlying principles of it aside, who has a chance to get more votes than Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, or the Asia package (Lin/Harden)? If you're the Trailblazers, you can run all the campaigns you want to get Lillard elected to the All-Star game, but at the end of the day, that's a waste of time, because it's near impossible. It's not even like a third party presidential candidate... it's like the local guy running a ridiculous grassroots write-in campaign. Being on the ballot wouldn't increase the likelihood of being voted for in any meaningful way.
