Yeah, I may disagree with @MarAzul and sometimes pretty strongly, but he’s obviously a very intelligent person, especially on nautical things. IMO everyone see’s the world a little bit differently and most of the time they have something they can teach you, if you’re willing to listen.
 
fwiw, I never said or implied that Marz was not intelligent, but obviously I do strongly disagree with his stance on Lincoln...and since bodyman decided to add his comment directed at me, I have to ask, why in the hell would I want Marz to "educate" me on something I care nothing about?...I have absolutely no interest in building a boat.

Well taking your original comment at face value, "do not presume that you can educate me on anything." Is what the response was towards. Not whether someone could teach you about Presidents. So your implication to me at least read that there was nothing (anything) that he could educate you on, which in fact does make it sound like you believe he is not as intelligent on any subject as you. Now adding in specifiers such as anything you care about, that may be I don't know.

It's not worth getting upset about. All I was saying is that was my interpretation and why I responded the way I did. I have not at all intended to insult or offend you.

No problem, man...Marz is anything but unintelligent and the remark I made was during a very heated discussion and yes, I could have worded it differently.

Swimming With Abraham Lincoln is one of the most controversial episodes in the Teletubbies TV Series. It is criticized for its racism and extreme political views.
Plot
Abraham Lincoln goes to Teletubby Land because Jebus Khrist tells him that if he can kill all of the Teletubbies, he will be revived and he can bring back his slightly racist views to the United States of UnAmerica . So Honest Abe goes to Teletubby Land, armed with an axe he "borrowed" for George Washington, and a Po, who survives, but Abe does not know that. Jebus apparantley doesn't either, as Abe gets revived and goes back to the White House, which had been renamed the Black House because of recent actions against\for racism. Then Po arrives at the Black House. Po ties up Abe, throws him in a burlap sack, and throws him into the river so he could drown to death. Revenge was accomplished, but the slaves were not freed. Instead, Po takes over the Black house, and starts mucking around with the various contraptions within. This causes an oil spill, leading to a gigantic bomb placed in the basement by George W. Bush. Po then discovers a plan to make peace with Iraq. Po laughs at the paper, and gets out a lighter to burn it. However, Po slips up on the oil spill and accidentally lights the oil instead, causing the bomb to explode, destroying the Black House and killing Po.

Reception
Parents hated this episode for its racism and extreme political views. Kids liked it, but didn't understand the political parts. MSNBC loved this episode as well because they are cray, and hate the United States of UnAmerica.

It is yanks right to say that and your interpretation of ASSUMING that meant he doesn't think he is intelligent in anything is very presumptious on your part. Marzy shows very little respect to anyone and i wouldn't want him to try and teach me about anything either. That in itself doesn't make me think he is stupid though. You really went out on a limb for that one.

Never said he couldn't say it. I read it pretty much the way he worded it and wasn't the only person who took it that way. We've moved on though so not sure why you're trying to rehash it.

Just voicing my opinion on something that wasn't even that old. There are so many posts that are dredged up from years ago with no comments from a mod and I respond to one that is about a day old and I get chastised? Wow.

I'm not chastising you. Just saying there's not much left to say. I may have interpreted it incorrectly, I think he could've worded it better. Not sure how it's chastising you to say we moved on.

Because it was something that didn't need to be said is all. As a mod, your words now have more weight in this forum. I am done now and only wanted to show support for yank as I have seen so much worse comments that go unaddressed in this forum.

Oh and as for my use of "chastise" that was simply used to demonstrate how i interpreted your response to yank about saying he was calling marzy stupid.
