So your implication to me at least read that there was nothing (anything) that he could educate you on, which in fact does make it sound like you believe he is not as intelligent on any subject as you. Yes, enjoying those kinds of pleasant experiences are quite nice and we have had our share. I was hinting more at the denigration present within the OT political threads.

I can't remember your exchange with hobbes but let me give you a thumbnail on him. Hobbes and I are buddies. We've had dinner with him, his father and his brother along with me and my wife. Great guy.
It's true, I did misunderstand your post as being directed at me. However, like Sly, Wookee and hobbes, you could never get on the wrong side of me. Well, I guess it's theoretically possible but virtually impossible. Why? Because you stand up for what's right and I respect that in a person. I respect it a lot.

Hobbes, I've got some Westerns saved on my DVR just for you and your dad.
By the way, we found a pizza joint near by that makes the dough for their crust by throwing it up in the air while giving it a good spin. Yep, pizza made the old fashioned way. It's called Flying Pie Pizza. I had a hot date last night. Took my wife out to the Flying Pie in Lake Oswego's Mountain Park. The service was lousy and their beer selection was horrible. According to the bar tender, I had one of their least hoppy beers and it tasted like the most hoppy beers I've ever tasted. I don't like a lot of hops in my beer. They didn't have Guiness, Maltnomah, Terminator, Kirin, Tsing Tao, Widmer Hefeweisen (strangely, they did have a Widmer neon sign that was lit and on their wall but none of Widmer's most popular beer, hefeweisen ), St. Pauli Girl, Pilsner Urquel, Dos Equis, Moretti or even Budweiser. Nothing but hoppy crap that I can't drink. Take out is going to be another matter 'cause I can pair it with whatever beer I like.

I think I've got both One Eyed Jacks, The Appaloosa, The Big Country, The Bravados and a couple others that I can't recall. Oh wait, I've got The Searchers, my favorite John Wayne Western although Red River is a very close second.

Hehe. Hobbes in pretty much every way.

I had a tuxedo cat named Snoopy and he would get into the weirdest places. He would often kill birds and mice then carry them to my front door as a prize. I would always congratulate and pet him lovingly. But that was a nasty chore to clean up after such messes. Haha.

My parents had a cat just like that. It looked different but it used to sleep on the couch in exactly that position hoping one of us (usually me) would come along and wake it up by rubbing its' belly. It would then start purring and I swear I could detect a smile on it's face.
