Who is your most disliked basketball broadcaster

There are many I do not like, but there are three I absolutely can not stand.
Hint 1: KABOOM!
Hint 2: BINGO! and OH ME OH MY
Hint 3: Clyde Drexler

BTW: The best combo is JVG and Breen.

Answer key:
1. Heat Eric Reid
2. Clippers Ralph Lawler
3. Houston Clyder Drexler

I also noticed that the King's announcers sound like baseball announcers.
There leave the air silent for seconds at a time and then chime in with some stat, zero color.

Hubie Brown is the worst. Next is Boston announcers; Scalebrine and some old white guy who really sucks the life out of the game.

I think Barrett and Rice are way too big of homers regarding officiating. It's too bad because otherwise they are very interesting with good chemistry, fun personalities and witty humor. Every call goes something like "Offensive foul on Memphis; no they are calling it on Portland". They have way too much emphasis on refs. I don't mind if a teams announcers give the home town view but just call the game how it's actually being played.

Kerr was the best. Legler is real good but I don't think he does games often. Breen is top play by play. Toriko is decent play by play too but usually he is paired with above. I like Jalen Rose and Doug Collins halftime insights. I actually really liked most of Bill Simmons insights but some of the time he has a spoiled brat attitude so I understand why they fired him. Jeff Van Gundy can be good but when he tries to play devils advocate he is terrible. I don't mind some Mark Jackson maybe he is best as a 3rd announcer.

Who do you all think would be the worst announcers?

My vote is Travis Outlaw; Kareen Abdul Jabar and Dikembe Mutombo.

Like Kingslayer said above.

Worst National:
- Reggie Miller TNT <------ just a douche
- Mark Jackson ESPN <-------- Cock Riding RW
- Jon Barry ESPN <------- Not sure why hes even there
- Hubie Brown ESPN <--------- wont stfu

The guy I used to not care for was Johnny 'Redd' Kerr. Thought he was a big baby. And unfortunately, endured a lot of his games on WGN.

Stacey King is great at explaining how the plays work on offense and defense, but he is otherwise incredibly annoying.

I can't stand:

Jon Barry
Reggie Miller
Marc Jackson

I also find Van Gundy to be a conceited dick, and I hate conceited dicks.

I totally get the Hubie hate, but for some reason I can usually tune him out.

Julius brought up Tolbert. God he was bad. And he was such a shameless Shaq slurper. I hope I can go back to forgetting he existed.

I don't have much exposure to most of the other teams' boadcasters. But the Houston crew is easily the worst, most biased crew I've ever heard.

I also agree with BDS&MFan94: I was thoroughly surprised how good and reasonable the Lakers announcers are, in light of the fact the Laker fans are the douchiest fans on the planet.

I can find Barrett to be annoying at times. Rice is just plain fun. But, I'm glad to have them both here. I will say this, though. Barrett is really good at playing both sides. I don't call him a homer at all. He often will say "No, that's the right call." Or "Nope, that's going to (whatever team we're playing)". I think he is more than fair.

Other than his "Harden travels with the ball...into the lane and scores" stuff.

I actually like Napier and Jerry for SAC, but I watched them as a boy almost 30 years ago and was shocked that Reynolds is still doing it.

Eff Houston.

Mike & Mike rule. And they have come a long way (Barrett especially) in the "homer bitching about the refs" department.

Man, you guys have some very solid choices, Brown...Miller....Barry...yeah, all qualify, but hands down, any game of any kind that Marv Albert represents..all I can think of is him biting the hooker on the back of the neck, and wondering if his hair thing is going to scamper away...that guy is one useless skin wrapped turd.

Who's the other guy on the Clippers team? Not the "oh-me-oh-my" dude, the other one. He sucks. Houston's team are just homers lol. Maybe not as bad as the Celtics haha.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Kenny Smith's hype man persona? He's fine at the desk but when he gets excited he's grating.

obviously anyone calling a lakers home game.

BUT

the worst I've heard this year are the home commentators for the Rockets. I don't know wtf these guys are, but in the game i watched every other words they said was 'The Harden Way". after a couple of hrs of that i was ready to kill something.

harden scores a shitty layup "oh baby..... that's how you do it, The Harden Way!"
harden gets fouled by someone breathing on him.... "that's putting your body on the line, The Harden Way!"

"Jesus.... it was unbelievable, and when I see somebody who is wearing one of their shirts.... I think that they're scum too."

No votes for Chicago radio play-by-play man Chuck Swirsky, the lone dissenting vote against Brandon Roy's ROY win? Or has enough time passed?

I'd never vote the worst broadcaster off of something like that, I rate them on what their job entails.

Chuck got his own version of Brandon Roy , in DRose. So he got what was coming to him!

You need to stop thinking about hookers all the time. Marv Albert has a unique voice that keeps him employed.

Clyde Drexler.
This. It kills me because I loved Glide. However, it's like he didn't spend 11 1/2 years here. This city gave him nothing but love, and the franchise turned down better offers to send him to Houston, yet we're nothing to him.

Last night was brutal.... Mark Jackson and Jon Barry on the same broadcast. Holy shit it was bad.

And Barry never shuts up. The guy just talks and talks. The play by play guy is irrelevant because he can't get a word in.

I'm a Georgia Tech fan when it comes to college basketball, but I dislike Jon Barry as a basketball announcer with the intensity of a thousand suns.

I liked the play-by-play guy OK. The other two, not so much (although that was far from the worst they've been).

Kenny Smith should never be within 100' of a microphone during a live game broadcast
