This is usually very very difficult out West but with Klay, Curry, and KD out of the picture, spots have opened up. I've thought it through and this is how I think it will shake down based on what we know now. As the season progresses, we can go through and make changes.

This is who I think will make it in February, not who I'd vote for now.

West:

Harden
Doncic
LeBron
AD
Mitchell
KAT
Jokic
Kawhi
PG13
Lillard
Melo
Booker (or Wiggins or Westbrook or Whiteside)

East:

It's actually hard to come up with 12 but....

Siakam
Dinwiddie
Giannis
Butler
Embiid
Kemba
Brogdon
Tristan Thompson
Trae
Simmons
Beal
Tatum

Who will MAKE it......or who will DESERVE to make it?

Whoever China wants to play in the game usually does.

Then why hasn't Jeremy Lin ever made an All Star team? And why hasn't Harden ever been 1st in All Star votes? Of course, it doesn't matter now anyway because fan vote doesn't completely determine the starters anymore. The media (and players?) have a say.

I think Dame will be our one and only all star. The coaches didn't want Melo on their regular teams' so I don't think he'll get an all star nod.

I dont think the guy averaging 17/6/2 will make it over the guy averafing 25/5/3, lets just say that.

Starting to wonder if Jokic will make the All Star team or that Denver will be any good this year. Sure they're 13-5 but the Grizzlies were 12-5 last year and we all know how that turned out. After a stellar playoffs, Jokic has sort of been awful this season. I personally think Whiteside (24 PER) should make it over Jokic (18 PER). Yeah, yeah, we're 9-13 but with the schedule we have coming up, our record will be Top 6 in West by the time All Stars are selected.

If PER is that important then Harrell should make it over Whiteside.

CJ could probably sneak over Devin Booker. Especially if the Suns fall out of the playoff race by February

He won’t.

Drummond has to comfortably make it in the East. I was going to challenge TT but he actually has a shot.

Do not see us getting two all stars with a sub 500 record.

Anyone else see that Westbrick is taking over 5 3's a game and only hitting 22%? Thought he was supposed to work on that this offseason?

We won’t have a sub 500 record when these are chosen.

I'm with you so far...looks about right

Melo
Booker (or Wiggins or Westbrook or Whiteside)

ok....Blazer bias noted

Booker probably has the strongest case averaging 24-4-6 with stellar efficiency (high turnovers though), but the Suns are dimming. Wiggins is averaging 25 but on below average efficiency. As good as Kawhi and PG13 have been, Lou Williams has probably been their MVP so far...don't overlook him. Aldridge has been in 7 of the last 8 all-star games, but is clearly winding down. Holiday is averaging 19-5-7 and is 4th in steals, but his team sucks and he's shooting poorly. I'll let CJ fans make a case for him

right now, I'd say Booker and Lou Williams are most deserving, but a 6th man probably won't make it
