I think it was some ill dude that shot 14-14 from the field and had 30 points. what was his name?

DAVID LEE! Haha did you see his windmill? He jumped off the wrong foot too. He pumped it everytime he dunked

David Lee is amazing, im going to wear number 42 after him now, I think

He played a terrific game, no question about it, but I still think Chris Paul deserved it (16 points, 17 assists, 9 steals). But, congratulations to Lee.

Don't get me wrong, Lee played great out there tonight, of course, on a bunch of rookies. :lol:But honestly, I would give it to Chris Paul, he had 17 Assists, and 17 points, and added in 9 steals. How did he not win? Is points everything? Ugh..But yeah, congrats to em.

the dude didn't miss a shot. I think that was the deciding factor. 17, 17 and 9 is amazing tho. if I wasn't so obsessed with david lee I'd say give it to chris paul.

No disrespect to David Lee, he shouldn't have gotten this. All 14 of those shots were dunks or layups. Chris Paul deserved it without a doubt. He and Deron are the ones that actually set Lee up for all of his easy buckets.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Ginger Jesus @ Feb 17 2007, 01:40 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>:HAHAHA: balkman. Oh lord. And they say Isiah drafts talent. Well, 1 of 8 or so ain't bad.</div>balkman is good he's just lost in the rotation because of francis and crawford. when he plays he brings the same intangibles that d lee brings.

Two years in a row a Knick wins an award he didn't deserve...

Just playin'... maybe...

Making wide open dunks and layups off great feeds from All-Star caliber point guards in a game against the worst draft class in the last 5 years, in a game where defense is a non-factor.. will make him a starter?

I think not.

I do, however, agree that he should be starting.

I feel he should be starting even if he didn't win the award I just think this mvp award should catch isiah's attention. the dudes a baller.

Does anyone know where I can find the stats of this game NBA.com doesn't seem to be working for me :S

Nice, congrats to David Lee and the Knicks fans! He had a really good game today, so what if his dunks were all open feeds this game was all about fun and the fans...its just great to see someone like Lee finally getting some recognition. Anyways the game was really that entertaining untill Monta Ellis and Chris Paul started taking over...

The Rookies didn't play defence lol, all his points were wide open it was not that impressive. Now Chris Paul and Monta Ellis were impressive. I wish they would of gave the ball to Andrea more all his moves to the basket were good though, he was not shooting the ball either I think it had a lot to do with the type of game style Europeans are not use to just messing around like that.

Who cares? These events are just dunk fests. No defense is played. It's not that big of a deal. Loren Woods could have dropped 20 if he got the ball under the net enough....

Ah, you gotta love the Knicks and some of their fans. Celebrating the MVP of a meaningless, unwatchable basketball game ruined by 10 year old kids screaming for every damn basket in a game that had 260 combined points. I couldn't watch more than ten minutes.I like David Lee, though. Plays the game the right way and should have a long, prosperous career.

I agree with JC, I think I could have scored 30 points in this game. I wouldn't say it's much of an accomplishment to score an uncontested dunk every time you touch the ball. Good for David Lee though, he gets overshadowed by most of the other sophomores in this league. I'm glad to see him get some recognition whether it mattered or not.

Lee played very well, but like CelticBalla I think it was said, his points were facilitated by Paul and Williams finding him open and passing to him. IMO Paul should have gotten it, he played amazing, but whatever, its not like this game meant anything anyways.

David Lee and Eddy Curry should be playing on Sunday.
