The league is becoming more and more athletic.

Speed kills. Just look at the finals.

LMA - it's not even close, really.

Easiest choice I've ever been given: the best Power Forward in the game or a borderline All-Star? A player who averaged over 13 rpg last season or a player who averaged 8 rpg?

I mean, is this not really a no-brainer?

There are several other PF's I'd take over Aldridge in the West... Nowitzki, Randolph, P. Gasol, and Griffin,... just to name a few.

Love is clearly injury prone.

The man just hurt his hand, not his knee or back. He'll probably be back earlier than expected.

Randolph is a idiot off the court and Griffin is just as injury prone as Love is.

To be the best power forward in the game you need to play D. Funny that of the guys you listed only one is any good at defense.

Two season ago when LMA played like a true center he was by far the best scoring big in the game. Bill Simmons talked about this in a podcast about how he went from a jumpshooting softy to an unstoppable force in the paint.

He's Rasheed Wallace: Unwilling to play to his talent level. With Stotts, LMA will play at the elbow primarily it seems.

Wallace had more physical talent than LMA, yet he never once scored 20ppg in a season.

How about Rubio and Love or Lillard and Aldridge? Seems those are the 2 tandems in question. For me, I think I would rather have my guard have that killer instinct and leadership than the PF. And for me I think Lillard will prove to be a better leader than all 4 of the players in question.

So my answer is: Aldridge and Lillard

Never build around a PF, unless you've got a clone of Tim Duncan. That's my rule. PFs don't win championships (Dirk's one-and-only was an anomaly that won't be repeated...and, Dirk is one HECK of a player).

But since Love is better at EVERYTHING other than man/man defense I'd easily take Love over LMA.

Boom goes the dynamite!!!

love has yet to lead the wolves to a 30 win season in his career, healthy or not

thats just pathetic for "the best PF in the game"

LMA has his flaws too and isnt going to will the team to a title by himself either, but love is more SAR than duncan

He's 24 years old.

I think the style in which he plays might make him a little injury prone. But they're never the same injuries so it doesn't cause that much concern. When healthy though he's the ideal PF IMO.

next game he plays he will be 25

if your point is that maybe in the future he will lead his team to the playoffs, then sure, i agree with that. its not outside the realm of possibility

Still feel this way?

His opinion was clearly proven wrong. Gasol is not even close to being an elite PF anymore. Z-Bo's had an injury prone season and is not putting up the numbers he has previously. Love's been non-existant. Griffin's number are now and always have been worse than LMA's. Nowitzki's numbers are down and he's old.

LaMarcus is the best PF in the game.

I remember a couple weeks ago Dwight Jaynes on Talkin Ball said "When all said and done Aldridge will be the best PF in Blazers history."

Offensively Brook Lopez might be the best, but overall I'm thinking Duncan or Griffin.

I'm very curious to see Anthony Davis and Drummond later on in their careers though.
