Who would you replace Stotts with?

Joe Mama.

I wouldn't replace him. If I had to, if Thibbs was available. Or Mike Malone.

I thought Stotts was an interim candidate when he came. Now I think the world of him. He's a keeper.

Thibs. Otherwise I'd keep him, unless the available coaching pool grows with others.

An NBA coach is only as good as his talent. I can't think of any other great coaches out there. Stotts isn't Dana Altman.

Was the sweet 16 an underachievement? He has a young team. He was used to having a more seasoned squad.
I will give you that they had a good run. But the fact they were their in the first place was a joke. He is a decent coach. I will admit that.

Neil had a vision with this group.

Maybe he should hire himself and put that vision in motion.

Not a bad idea. Then he could bring in his replacement, a young guy and get him ready. Like Luke Walton.

No shit? I always thought he was just a really good management mind with devilishly handsome looks (in the straightest way possible).

No, he has lots of head coaching experience.

Pops didn't have any head coaching experience before taking over for Bob Hill. His only coaching experience came as an assistant under Don Nelson.

Still, I rather have Olshey be the man being the scenes. He is our John Schneider, we need a Pete Carroll.

We need someone who isn't going to be intimidated in a small market and won't put too much on his starters. Greg Popovich is still taken, but he made things work in San Antonio, so he could make things work here.

I'd think of recent players who are ready to coach. A Derek Fisher, maybe. If we're rebuilding, we can use someone who is still young enough to lead NBA players

He can design the offense, right?
That's what I read. Jackson was going to put him to work in NY but Kerr wanted him so he is with GS. It was Jackson doing payback to Kerr, so it said.
Hell, I'll believe it, bringing him in as an assistant wouldn't hurt a thing.

I dug this up after watching a warriors game and noticing the interaction of Walton with Kerr and the team.
A noticeable active guy.

If Thibs is on the market id do that, otherwise im happy keeping him.
