People always say who should the Lakers have kept Kobe or Shaq? Well i tried doing it on NBA Live. I simed a season with the real Lakers, and they went 35-47. Then I traded Kobe for Shaq, and they went 23-59. So according to NBA live, the Lakers did the right thing by trading Shaq :winkglasses:

Lol im not sure. They would have gotten more for Kobe but lol.

Kobe is the better choice. He has led his team all year and is younger.BTW NBA Live stats are BS. My friend took the Hawks with the whole team consisting of point guards to a 30-52 record. Tyronn Lue made the All Star team as a center.

Im obviously gonna say Kobe, but its right though, he just wants to win more than shaq

NBA Live is <Censored> man. My buddie simmed with the damn Charlotte Bobcats and made the playoffs and had Sean freaken May as the starting All-Star PF.

Lakers probably were better off with Kobe if you had to choose one just because of Shaqs age. If Shaq was still in his prime though and Kobe was in his prime I'd take Shaq in a heartbeat.

I didnt mean for this to be a discussion lol I was just showing you what happened in nba live.

nba live is so unrealistic. Some of the ratings are way off. They definitely favor the scorers and not the role players.

Shaq was a lot more important for the team. If the Lakers traded Kobe earlier they could've gotten Kidd and Marion I think so...yeah...

Yes. I think there was some rumor about a trade like that. I was pretty young though so I'm not sure what was happening.

Wow imagine that. Shaw Kidd and Marion. That would be a VERY good team.

Whether you like it or not, the Lakers made the right choice... of course it would have been better had they kept both Shaq and Kobe together, but that wasn't really an option.Looking ahead to the future, Kobe was the right choice. Shaq is starting to decline, and he has about four or five years left in the league, at most, whereas Kobe still has another eight to eleven years left in his career... maybe more.
