Whose doorstep will Neil be on Saturday night

Theres many guys that can fill the 3-and-D role that could be available. Settling for a one-way player will keep us stuck in mediocrity.

I just don’t see many other options realistically. Of course we all wish Doug M was able to defend. If he could defend and shoot like he does he wouldn’t be available

3 and D guys are pretty much the most valuable commodities in the league, they’re not out there, and if they are, we can’t afford them.

Barton or Evans would be my realistic gets but they aren’t even realistic at this point. Whatever happens I just don’t wanna lose ED.

At least watch the first 4 shots he makes... cutting to the basket, moving without the ball, putting ball on court and driving, dunking... how is he only a 3pt shooter?? Please watch and respond... and this is NBA competition, not some low level overseas league

He can't play D. Slow twitch, no lateral movement, can't stay in front of his man.

There are 2 sides of the ball.

NO TO RUDY GAY!!!!

He had a half-decent year in San Antonio... BECAUSE IT'S SAN ANTONIO. He'd be as bad as Jamal Crawford.

Georges-Hunt looks possible. I'd really like to go for Dante Exum like we tried with Millsap and succeeded with Wes, but I think the Jazz will keep him.
Same for the Thunder and Jerami Grant - they were exponentially better when they had him on the court instead of Melo. But maybe they figure with Roberson coming back he'll get less time?

Somebody should really make a play for Julius Randle. The Lakers seemed very lukewarm about him, despite him being easily their most productive player.

Bonus: it would tie up their cap space until they renounced him.

Paul Allen’s doorstep. In his leathers, saying Daddy please let me spend your money. Or has this already taken place?

I would love for us to hunt S&T opportunities for PG.

Like a CJ for George in a S&T. Then use the MLE for a guy like KCP/Bradley. That would be amazing. Then bring back Nurk on the QO and extend him next year.

Dame/Bradley/PG/Collins/Nurk

with Simons/ET/Harkless/Aminu off the bench.

Ok, i'll wake up.

You have obviously never seen McDermott play... you don’t even watch games, just look up useless stats and arm measurements to judge a player... Doug hasn’t hit his prime and has been stuck in shitty offenses... he was the best scorer in the country in college and even tho he was misused in NBA still shot over 40% 3pt every season
Doug McDermott is Adam Morrison with better control over his emotions......an end of the bench white guy who’s biggest contribution is “diversity”.......

We still only have 5.3 to work with? Hell even McDermott will get more than that. Neil will not be camping out on anyone's doorstep without the full MLE. His best bet is to wait until the end and see who falls through the cracks. He might have to wait on the LeBron negotiations as well for the TPE.....to see if we can help someone other than the Lakers get him and thereby getting a decent player in return.

Waiting for scraps....not exactly a desirable position to be in. So little cap room....so little playoff success. NBA purgatory. Miami is in an even worse spot going into the coming season.

Yeah but some times you get a solid vet when other options run out for them. Isn't that how Memphis got Tyreke Evans for 3.2?

Our defense would also be horrible because McDermott can't guard a paperclip. We don't have the luxury of being able to play poor defenders at SF.
I'm also not interested. Only want two way players.

Hopefully someone good falls through the cracks. Otherwise, we could be looking at something very much like the last several seasons.

I could live with McDermott if they wanted him, but would rather take a chance on one of the younger/cheaper players they have lined up already. The plus with Doug is that he has a high bball IQ, can hit the three aggressively, and he keeps the ball moving. I could see that working okay. Just would rather use one of the guys we have in already who can hit around 40% from three and have a chance at playing better defense.

I don't know how his defense is, but it's gotta be better than McDermott's; James Nunnally is the guy we had in for a private workout the other day.

I am sold. I just want to yell Nunnally at the TV. In Turkish accent, if possible.
