A planet in the Alpha Centauri solar system is likely where KD is from because as much as people like to talk about Wemby and Chet, no one as tall and skinny as KD has ever had this much game; the handle, the shot, the athleticism and how did he come back from that Achilles rupture better than any other player in league history? Dude is an alien who was born under three Suns. So he had to find his way to the team with a name that doesn't make any sense in this solar system but makes a lot of sense to KD who was born on a planet that orbits two Suns along with another sun or at least that's how he thinks of them. I'm not blaming KD for being an alien but goddamn those three Suns he was born near for giving him super powers and goddamn all of us who honked once... I was one. We could have had a lot more good times with the alien than we did with Oden... who I'm also not blaming either. Again it's those motherfucking three stars that gave Durant's home planet life.
