How do you figure? The guy came back and still averaged over 28 ppg for the next 2 seasons. By that time he was 34. I think age caught up with him. Conversely, at 34, Drexler average 10 fewer ppg, and had one more season in him. Wilkins played another 3 in the NBA and 2 overseas. He played until he was 39.

Granted, he played on the Spurs team that tanked like nobody tanked before...

'Nique was an exciting scorer, but that's about all he did and it's not like he did it at great efficiency. He was basically the previous generation's Carmelo Anthony. Drexler wasn't a volume scorer like 'Nique, but he was a bit more efficient, a far better play-maker and a better defender.

Would you rather have a prime, healthy Grant Hill or a prime, healthy Carmelo? I'd take Hill every time and, to me, that's equivalent to Drexler over Wilkins.

Drexler. Nique was a better shooter. Watching those Classic games yikes on Clyde's jumper. Ugly. But Clyde was the better all around talent. If Clyde had worked more on his shooting, he might have a couple rings in Portland. He worked with Kiki on it, but to me, not enough. Brick after brick. He was a good scorer. But could have been great. You can see how competitive he was in games. A lost op , IMO.
