Lopez is absolutely lawst!!! He's terrible so far. And Freeland shot 1-7 with 7 boards and 1 block! Why are posters excited about that?

Obviously the biggest weakness on this team. What happens when we play good centers?! Good win on road but explain the praising of Freeland and Lopez to me.

Good grief.... At least give us the night when we win. Are you ever happy Mixum?

55 rebounds. I'm happy we got 55 rebounds as a team. I could give a shit less on who's getting them

I'm impressed. Usually this place is quiet after wins but I'll answer. Yes, Freeland missed 6 shots but he played very good D that is not shown in the box score and he grabbed some very important rebounds. Most of all, he looked like he belonged. As for Lopez, he boxes out. How else does Wesley Matthews grab 12 rebounds? I'm gonna wait and see with Lopez. It's only two games into the season and we are .500 on the road and undefeated at home. You can't ask for more than that.

Lopez/Freeland used their bodies well on defense. Hard fouls and boxing out. That's worth praise with this Blazers team.

The way I see this team.... It's lillard and Aldridge and everyone else is streaky and centers are lawst

80 games to go. Let's see how it plays out, at least.

Um, potentially because there are two sides to the court, and DEN's frontcourt went 11-38. That's 29%. That's, um, not good.

Bingo.

Leonard had 2 rebounds for every minute of playing time. I'd say that's pretty damn good.

Because not all of us deliberately try to find the downside to a 15-point road win in Denver.

Geez, give a rest already. Your trolling is tedious and repetitive. You changed your username to get around being banned. Can you also step up and change your schtick? The only thing worse than a troll is a boring troll.

BNM

Duckworth wasn't a big rebounder but we would lead the league in rebounds because he would box out allowing other players to rebound.

As soon as Stotts' replacement slides Meyers into the starting spot, all NBA records are in jeopardy.

Bad memories there. Blazer fans roasted poor Duck for his lack of rebounding. They never could grasp how important he was to the cause.

Some Blazers fans not all.

lol. I didn't even WATCH the game (Listened to it on the radio) and Freeland was doing the small stuff that doesn't show up. Him in the 3rd quarter helped us grow the lead so that we had a cushion for the push in the 4th.

Yeah but it was the early years of 24 hour spots radio. It was annoying to listen to on the radio.

Speaking of centers.......how about Mcgee? 13 minutes tonight. Even the Denver announcers were
mentioning his mental errors. Where are the McGee lovers tonight?

(Raise hand) yeah wrong about that kid

Should have made the trade for Jordan though... he's beasting. I wonder what LAC wanted though.

It probably would've ended up being a massive blockbuster 3 team deal, something like this IMO:

Portland Receives: Jordan, Jimmy Butler, and the Bobcats pick that the Bulls own.

Los Angeles Receives: Deng, Leonard, and some future pick from the Bulls.

Chicago Receives: Aldridge and Matthews.

We probably then would've re-signed Hickson and still end up with the additions of Lopez, Robinson, Wright, and Williams. Kinda would've been cool (yet hard to get over LA's production) to see the Blazers look like this:

Lillard / Williams
Butler / McCollum / Barton / Crabbe
Batum / Wright
Hickson / Robinson
Jordan / Lopez

Lopez shut down the paint, blocking Denver's bigs on multiple occasions while Freeland was a terror on the offensive glass when he was in there. His back-to-back offensive rebounds in the second-half led to two 3's, which shifted momentum big time in our favor.

for the future it will be interesting to see how the Asik situation in HOU develops and if he gets traded, he would be a great fit IMO, however don't know if we have enuf to work out a deal that leaves us "intact"

Houston will want Aldridge back in a trade. But then again, I have a feeling Aldridge will end up with one of the three Texas teams eventually anyway.

Then why do you want to blow it up?

Go Blazers
