Seems like Thanksgiving or Christmas would have been better.

Those Muhammadans were barely making a notice compared to the Brits. It took 26 27 more years before they were taking enough seamen to piss off TJ.
It did get the US Navy kick off though.

Ramadan follows a different calendar. I have no idea if July 4, 1776 fell during Ramadan.

Stop trying to ruin my fun damn you!

And yes, you are correct, Ramadan began on Oct 3rd in 1776.

That's why the founding fathers celebrated Halloween on Oct.31st. So everyone could break fast and eat their candy after one day.

Ramadan is fit for over zealous religious culture and the 7/4/76 declaration was intended for oppressed

Brits in the new world. Dates were irrelevant IMO

I could give two shits about Ramadamadingdong.

No way, they declared independence because the rulers were keeping all the Chicken flavored Ramadan and giving us the crappy Shrimp Ramadan.

Ewww... shrimp ramadan is the worst.

Fuck yeah it is, rather eat it plain and uncooked no seasoning. Being poor we would save the shrimp packets and mix them in with chicken if we were making more than 6 or 7 packs at once.

...thought we were celebrating the original #BREXIT?! :dunno:
