The personal attack rules are open to interpretation. Sly interprets them one way (as long as you don't directly call a poster an insulting name, you're fine). I interpret them differently (posts clearly impugning a poster's character are out of bounds, regardless of how it is done).

I don't think there is necessarily a hard and fast "right" way to do it.
