Day after day, we are treated to liberal columnists wringing their hands in feigned concern over the fate of the Republican Party.

None of these people have ever voted for a single Republican, and they will never do so. Yet, that does not slow down people such as E.J. Dionne, Dana Milbank, Eugene Robinson, etc. from continually writing that the Republican Party has lost its way, lost sight of its traditional positions, and crying crocodile tears over how removed Republicans are from how other Americans view things.

Well, suppose a conservative had the audacity to do the same about the Democrats in general, and Hillary Clinton in specific. It might look something like the following.

The Democratic Party has enjoyed a great deal of success in recent presidential elections, nominating and electing candidates with appeal to a wide array of voters, not simply their liberal base.

Now, it seems a once great party is on the verge of insisting the rest of America simply shut up and go along with electing a candidate viewed harshly and as untrustworthy by virtually every voter group other than self-identified Democrats. Everyone but Democrats appears to be screaming: Please do not do this. Nominate someone other than Hillary Clinton.

Just how bad are things? Among all voters, the most recent data indicate Hillary Clinton is viewed negatively by a margin of seven points — 44 favorable, 51 percent unfavorable.

On its face, that might not sound so terrible, although it is never good for any candidate to be upside-down on this measure. When you dig a little deeper, you discover that among Democrats, Mrs. Clinton enjoys a favorable rating of 85 versus an unfavorable rating of 11, a whopping plus 74 points.

For this to be true, the rest of the country, Republicans and independents, have to be especially negative and unfavorable toward the former first lady. That is simple arithmetic.

Wow, Republicans don't like Hillary. Who would have ever guessed?

Awesome analysis.

Nobody likes her but Democrats. Not independents. Not republicans. Not Green Party. Nobody.

Hard to miss that.

Exciting news, for sure.

Probably means she'll only be able to win two terms as president.

You mean, nobody lists her as their first choice. But almost all non-Republicans rank her above all of the Republican candidates.

This is typical of elections. Have you ever watched any?

And you will wager on this sure thing? I will cover it with my Cola. 65 million of us want more of dis shit.

Only her health due to age might stop her. Look at 2004. The world was astounded that the U.S. re-elected the worst president in its history. In 2012, the country laughed at Republican donors as they wasted a couple billion dollars to convince each other that they had any chance of defeating Obama.

I'm thinking:::: Trump vs.Clinton. :{( The entire plate of political candidates is sub pare and should be taken away from our table. Return them to the kitchen and over to the dumpster. Every single American should have the choice to vote for "None of the Above" and count that as the dictate.

This is newsday magazine writing this. Not some republican leaning source.

I'm surrounded by Democrats and I've yet to meet an actual fan of her. That's spanning age and gender. Nobody likes her. She's shady as hell. She's in bed with the banks. If you took out the gay bashing and the anti-abortion crap, she would be a Republican.

Funny how they fail to realize that the Dems are in the same boat as the GOP. If you fail to gain the support of the middle, you lose, Period.

I'm surrounded by dems all the time too and they love her. The ones I know actually dislike #feeltheberncuckold.

It's interesting too, because I've met people who love Bernie, but hate Clinton and would actually vote trump over Clinton.

It's going to be an exciting election.
Those are crazy dems. Bern>Clinton>GOPPP

Wow, that was pretty cool. Mariota is hilarious, so few words. "Thank you." "Thank you." He really needs a better o-line. Hopefully that franchise gets their shit together. I would suck to see him stuck in BS is entire career.

He just seems like the nicest guy. The refs seem to love him.

I wanted Biden/Warren. Hate that she cock-blocked that ticket.

Ha! I still have visions of Joe, standing on the Senate floor making the machine gun sound; Ah ah ahahah! Geez, I would hate to see him be President.
But... Biden vs Bush and Joe gets the vote.

I'm not voting for her.

Not sure how you can end the for profit prison system when they're funding your campaign....

Avoid the Court.

That's easy to say.

My buddy's wife cheated on him. When he found out, he called her up and said they needed to talk. She never went home. She went straight to the cops and said that he beats her. She was cheating with a guy we know who used to be a military cop.

There wasn't one ounce of proof. Not a single person would back up her story, and her story changed repeatedly, so much so that the judge who was overseeing the restraining order called her out and denied her request. A bunch of people saw him the night it supposedly happened. The criminal court wouldn't allow anyone to present any evidence to support him. Neighbors, friends of the family, didn't matter. Not allowed.

He had never been in trouble with the law, but he was found guilty of domestic violence and had to pay the court a bunch of money and take a bunch of classes. That was a few years ago. My friend is remarried, he owns a house now, he has a kid on the way, and he's much happier without that lying shrew.

Law enforcement is about generating revenue these days.

Divorces and DV's, two fucking things we men immediately lose on.

He won in the end. He's now married to a nurse who pulls down 90-100k a year. He has a nice house. He's living the good life. Meanwhile, his ex is living in an apartment, alone, and single. The guy she was seeing left town to take a security job on a base back east (which he promptly lost because he was caught bringing a loaded weapon on base).

One day their son will truly understand what his mom did and she'll lose him. He's 11 now.

Way better, but that doesn't move him to the front of many Republicans. Maybe two or three.

You mean in your opinion? Unlike Hillary Biden, before he said no, was polling ahead of every republican candidate head to head.
