Why do people link bleacher report?

Serious question. I see it on a lot of message boards, but I never understand why.

It's not a news article. It's not ever sourced or referenced. It's rarely adequately edited.

They're just a single person's opinion.

Why link it in lieu of starting a thread with the same premise and getting the board's opinion instead?
 
same with like realgm and insidehoops and all that crap. I'm with you.
 
I'm going to start linking good posts on this board to other NBA team message boards. Some of you are going to be famous!
 
I linked to an article i found somehow that talked about how the Raptors felt Oden was a better fit then Bargnani, and that Toronto should go after him this free agency. I had no clue Bleacher Report was just Fans posting stories, I never even looked at the name of the site, just copy and pasted the url. So to answer your question, me and ALOT of people have no clue wtf bleacher report is. I just figured it was like 99% of the sports sites out there, reporters around teams spouting off.
