Why does Stotts refuse to coach and stress defense?

120 points to the TWolves?!?!? 116 to the Cavs? The Blazers can win all the games they want this season it wont matter come playoff time. I turned off the Wolves game in the first quarter because I was getting so mad I thought I was gonna punch something. Layup after layup after layup. It was the most disgusting defense I have ever seen an NBA team play. I have never seen anything like that. No way this team even wins a playoff game at this rate. They will get swept. Stotts better find and hire a coach who actually can teach this team to play NBA defense because they're screwed at this rate.

At the end of a 4-game-in-5-night road trip in frickin' Minnesota middle of December. A back to back game after a clutch win in Cleveland. Every team brings their A game to beat the #1, yet you turn off the game after the 1st qtr? You must be new to Blazer games, they've always been a 2nd half team. Better to turn on the game in the 3rd or maybe check out another team because Stotts is a great coach. Coaches get tired on the road too, just sayin' and we shot 15% from 3 most of the night, that's not going to help..tired legs=bricks and being a step slow getting back on defense.

Completely agreed. For me it's more HOW they lost then THAT they lost. Continued poor bench play and a layup drill to the basket. In most cases the Blazers have been able to shoot themselves clear of those deficiencies but tonight they couldn't. Even when they do, it doesn't mean there aren't things that need to be addressed if they are going to make noise when the games really count.

It's been frustrating for me. But I think he does stress it and wants to see it. He's pretty passionate and animated on the sideline not to be. But he and his staff may only have some in the way of answers on that end.
