I've always wondered why marijuana is illegal and alcohol is legal. From my personal experiences, Alcohol is MUCH worse. Drunk people are complete idiots. Loud, obnoxious, and completely illogical. High people are just chill.my brother had an interesting theory tho. he said it's bc the government can't tax weed bc it's not sold in stores.
 
it is pretty stupid that marijuana is illegal. i can see the idea behind not being able to tax it but seriously can anyone make a legit argument saying that weed is as dangerous as alcohol? it's so stupid that it's illegal because honestly so many people do it and it's just a thing they do with their friends. they're not sharing needles, poppin pills or anything of that nature. they're just sharing a blunt. it should be legal and it's retarded that it isn't. cops don't even care that much about it either. unless you're a convicted drug addict they really don't care. we also know that A LOT of players in the nba smoke trees.
 
It's only because it's a drug that they can't make money off of. I am against using drugs so you won't see me smoking a joint but I don't think it should be illegal.
 
i agree man. and it's actually impossible to die from smoking weed, unless it's from an accident. you can die from alcohol poisoning. you can die from other drugs.

well, i'm saying like in one sitting you can't die. you'd pass out before. but you can die from overdosing on alcohol, pills or any of that other stuff.

that's tight. i want to go to europe for a summer trip with my friends. after senior year.
 
If anything Alchohol should be illegal. My dad is a police officer and he says every time he pulls over a drunk, They want to fight and get rowdy. But when he pulls somebody over who has been smoking weed there usually very calm.The thing with weed is, You smoke it for awhile then that feeling of high gets less and less exciting. After awhile you might want to explore your horizens and try Heroin, Crack, Cocaine, ECT.
 
because it cant be taxed while alcohol can bethat's itcuz you can grow it in your backyardbut the thing is you're probably thinking "why dont they make vegetables illegal"well because they don't have an excuse to like they do with marijuana

Weed causes mental health issues after prolonged use. Depression and other things. Alchol While has a more immediate effects it isn't something that people will want to do all day. If weed was legal then people would want to smoke it all the time like cigerettes.

You should be able to use it when you are more responsible. 16 year old kids are still going to do it though.

It messes with your brain ... makes you paranoid and depressed, people get sooo addicted to it they turn to stealing when they cant afford it. I gotta admit, When my friends get high It's SO FUNNY being around them. There so funny.So I dont need to be high to have a fun time.
 
that's wha t i love about marijuana. high people are SOOO much cooler than drunk people. when i'm sober in a crowd of drunks, i just want to leave, bc they're all flipping idiots.

My friends have been on it for 2 years now(not my age). And they quit like 7 months ago. I never see them depressed or anything like that. It's so easy to get off that sh*t.BTW, High people ARE COOL.

I'm not going to smoke trees because Im afraid of getting busted and having it on my record...I don't even use limewire because I don't want to get busted and have to get my music the hard way :closedeyes:

hahaha, you're assumptions are so off-base. there are SOO many people who have been successful and smoke. It's not like i'm a junkie or anything. someone must've told you all this stuff in like fourth grade to scare you away from it, and it just stuck in your mind. hahaha, i'm the tool?
 
Ya, I don't smoke and never will, but I have to go with nba dogamist on this, I know a lot of sucessful people who smoke.

</div>yea i smoke the same amount and my tolerance hasn't really changed either. that's a load of crap. weed isn't addictive like cigs. people just like smoking because it is a stress reliever. it makes you calm and relaxed.i'll also agree with you dogma that there are successful people that blaze. i don't wanna sound like the stereotypical peer pressure dude that says "duddde everyone is doing it maaan" but there are a lot of people that smoke, some you wouldn't even suspect. that's why i believe it's really not as bad as people say. it's not cocaine, it's not crack, it's not heroine.....it's a plant that grows in the ground.i also think drinking is worse than smoking. smokers are always mad chill and calm and happy. drunks are always depressed and sloppy and unable to even walk sometimes.look at the banner up there. dave chapelle. he blazes a lot. he went to africa for a long time, i dunno how long but he went there to study his roots and where he came from. i don't know the whole story or if this is true but apparently he went crazy there and weed helped him cope with whatever it was that was stressing him out.
