I suppose it is understandable that some if not many Muslims want a Caliphate. I guess the question is why are so many coming together now in an attempt to make this happen? Why is it necessary for them to declare war on Americans to get this done? Here in North America, both from the US and Canada, Muslims are gong to join the effort. Even worse, some are staying here and joining the effort in spirit of the Jihad, killing Americans in the name of
the cause and Allah.
I find it distressing to listen to our leadership, clamoring to fight this cause as is represented by IS in Syeria and Iraq. The distressing part is, I do not hear a word about finding the cause of this happening and correcting the issue at the source. All the discussions, at least in public are about Killing them in Syria and Irag, and whether we do it or we get someone else to do it. Holy mackerel! I expect our leaders to know that you can not win a "war" simply by killing the soldiers of a cause. Especially a cause staffed from the sons of a world wide population of potiential sympathizers. A stretegy created within these parameters will result in purpetual conflict without the possibility of resolution.
We are not ready to send the military to fight this conflict, whether it be in airplanes or boots in the desert. We need to identify the cause of this phenomenon and then identify the targets for elimination while at the same time causing maximum fear to those that might relize who could be next.
Obama seems to simple want to uphold his promise of no troops on the ground and seems quite content to leave the issue to the next President.
I have only heard one Politician suggest anything else, one Democrat, I do not remember his name, but he wants to find the reason for the discontent and fix the source of the discontent in the world that is causing them to declare war on the US or Americans. I totally reject that thought, but there is a source that can be eliminated and we need to know what it is.
All those fighters in the desert of the mideast do not frighten me, the power to draw them there from all over does. Where is that power source? I am sure that declaring war on Americans is a large part of the recruitment strategy, but who is using the megaphone and paying the bills? When we have this answer we may be ready to go to war.
