You're right Mo williams has posted a very average PER of around 16 this year while Jerryd's is about 20.5. I'm glad you brought that up.

Your savvy impresses us all. I love the upside of Rudy Gay...from 2006. Today? Not so much. I'd prefer not to trade Bayless for a mediocrity who's about to head into free agency.

I actually do like Butler and Wallace as players, but both are heading toward their late primes and I think starting guard alongside Roy is a much bigger need for Portland than a small forward, since Batum will be back from injury. I'm not in favour of making moves to try to "save this season." No trade will make this year's team a title contender. A dynamic Bayless could very well make next year's team a title contender, if Oden and Batum are fully healthy.

And if you think Oden is no longer worth waiting for, then there's no point trading for a small forward anyway. There's no small forward (who's name isn't LeBron James) that makes this team a title contender without Oden.

You ever think that Maybe Shit happens? I mean I would think you would as it seems to be the pretty reliable result of your typing. Was it a huge step back when the Spurs lost David Robinson for a full season and ended up the worst team in the league? It's bullshit to say that a season lost to injuries should be considered a step back, if anything I think it's a huge stride forward. Our healthy players are learning how to play through diversity, without sacrificing a title window season should an injury pop up then. Bayless is getting his PT finally and now we will have a great idea of what he can do for us without having to gamble on an important season. As sad as it sounds we will land another solid asset in the draft, whether we trade it or keep it.

Instead you are so focused on the negative side of things that you forget that the team doesn't have the luxury to think anything but positive.

Well what the Fuck do you expect the team to do? Trade our healthy assets without sacrificing future pieces and get back players that will all of a sudden give us a better shot of making the playoffs? Why the spittin hell do you think Blake is worth? Miller? Webster? Nobody in the league gives a shit about those guys. Look at GS Sure Anthony Randolph is on the Block but they want a player of similar caliber to Rudy and more to trade him.

in what way have the blazers settled for no playoffs?

i mean, last year portland conceded that they weren't going to make the playoffs by not making a trade but for whatever reason the nba decided to force them to play in the playoffs anyway. who's to say that won't happen again this season?

the thing about a trade is; there have to be two or more willing partners. let's look at a different sport, in the NFL draft this past year the Raiders took Darius Heyword Bey and got blasted for not trading down. the problem was, no one in that draft wanted to trade up. i'm all for blasting the pick but don't say they should have traded down if you don't know someone was willing to trade up.

which brings us to miller, who really wants this guy right now? he had us and really no one else chasing him in the offseason. philly was interested for a one year deal, as was NY but i doubt either are interested now that he's signed for next year and that's 7 million in cap space they can't throw at free agents this offseason. i'd love to see him traded, as i don't think the fit is right here, but there has to be another team and right now i just don't see that other team out there.
