So...either we have a stereotypical black man (George Jefferson, Sanford<No T> wasn't a really positive role model, Give me a break was a black woman who had to clean up after a white guy, Webster had to be adopted by white people, same with Diff'ren Strokes (cept he had a rich snobby white daughter too), and the one token black kid in a school/home?
Of those you listed, only the Cosby show showed blacks in a non comical setting (in the sense they weren't caricatures).
Is it really that big of a deal that a network is called "black entertainment network"? I mean, us whites only had ABC, NBC, Fox, CBS, PBS, TBS, Disney, Nickelodeon, MTV (in it's earliest incarnation), VH1, TNN, USA, and so on and so on and so on....
Oh, so you need to downplay all of the black shows. Well, I was just getting warmed up. There was also Julia, Good Times, Fat Albert, What's Happening, Hanging with Mr. Cooper, sister sister, Oprah, Kennan and Kal, the NBA, Sammy Davis Jr and the Sinbad show.
No Black TV shows.......get outta here.....
