When a deranged individual claiming to be a Bernie Sanders supporter fired shots at Congressional Republicans, injuring Steven Scalise, Sanders immediately went before TV cameras and on social media and unequivocally denounced this person. He said people who commit acts of violence have no place in his movement. Although he and Scalise have nothing in common politically, he did not refer to their differences but wished Scalise a speedy recovery and visited him in the hospital.
Because Bernie Sanders, unlike DeathSantis, is a person with principles and not a coward.

Antifa will defend themselves from fascists. Nobody claimed they didn't.

In this video Micheal Reinoehl says "I am not a member of Antifa"

But he does say "I am 100% Anti-fascists"

Yes. Patriot Prayer is just another group in a long line of alt-right aka fascists, who aim to usher in a white christo-fascist state. They want to be the current version of the Nazi's brown shirts. I'm sorry you lost your friend, but that's just not true.

He went to a demonstration to harass demonstrators armed with a semiautomatic firearm and multiple magazines. He engaged in the activity he went to engage in, and things escalated.

Micheal Reinoehl, in the other hand, was actually executed.

Reinoehl hid in a garage and waited for Jay to walk by. He then ambushed him and shot him in the chest. If that’s your idea of defending yourself I don’t know what to tell you. I agree that Reinoehl was executed as well.

He hid in a garage, why? Because he was being pursued. Then when engaged, Jay pulled something out of his pocket and extended his arm toward Reinoehl before being shot.

It was just pepper spray, but Reinoehl had no way of knowing that.

If you go join a group of people who are harassing demonstrators, driving vehicles at them, shooting at them with paintball guns, and you engage in the same behavior armed with firearms... And, according to Reinoehl, follow one intending further harassment (which, seems supported by Jay's actions to immediately try and pepper spray Reinoehl), you kind of get what's coming to you.

It's a shitty situation to put yourself in. Nothing at all good can come from it. It is 100% his own fault.

I wish Reinoehl would have been arrested so we could have gotten more of his side of the story. Possibly other witnesses could have helped clarify things.
 
Never Trumper Republicans should have one ticket and only one ticket to represent the GOP moving forward....Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger....that's the saving ticket for your party and no other candidates will erase the stench of the traitor in chief Cheeto man and his henchmen.

Sorry your friend was killed. The violence either way is unacceptable.

It sounds like he was in with a bad crowd of people and put himself in the very situation that caused his death. Had he stayed home, he'd be alive.

That said, it sounds like the guy who shot him had gotten away and had successfully hid in the parking garage, as your friend passed it by.

I wasn't there. I don't know how it went down exactly. I don't know Reinoehl's mindset or if he was truly afraid for his life or acted in self defence. It all fucking sucks.

Reading about Reinoehl's death, it sounds very probably like an execution. Those agents took him out. Did they think his phone was a phone and weren't taking chances? IDK. There are too many different accounts from witnesses, and witnesses changing their accounts of what happened or saying they were wrongly misquoted. There was a lot of weird shit surrounding a bullet Reinoehl supposedly shot off. Was he at his car? Did he run to his car? Was he armed? IDK. Those officers apparently didn't announce themselves as officers, didn't have cameras on their uniforms. Hard to know exactly what happened.

It's too bad we didn't get to see him go to court and find out more of why and how things happened.

Excellent question. It would have been great if he could have been asked about that at the trial.

If you watch the video I posted, Reinoehl said he was asked to be there to help as security and had been shot in the arm before at one of these events. He wasn't likely to leave, as he was trying to protect his friends.

What it sounded like to me was he got them to follow him away from whoever they were harassing before and hid to see if they were still following. But I don't know that for sure.

In the video he said he thought they were going to kill him and his friend if he didn't do something to stop them, because the police weren't doing anything to help.

Dude, I saw the video showing Reinoehl going to the garage to hide and ambush him. And he had his gun drawn on Jay before any pepper spray was extended. It was an execution plain and simple.

I saws the video as well. Several different videos.

How did he know he was going to be walking by there? Because he was being pursued...

If you're chasing somebody and harassing them you don't get to claim you were the victim. You put them in a position to defend themselves. If somebody is armed and chasing me I'll probably have my gun pulled as well.

I'm sorry, I just don't buy it. However, I wish Reinoehl had been arrested and stood trial so we'd have a better idea.

At the recent TPUSA event, controversy broke out when Neo-Nazis began to demonstrate outside of the building. Now, Progressive State Rep. Carlos G. Smith (D-49) is claiming Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who spoke at the event, condones Nazism.

"I can’t think of a single Florida politician, regardless of party, who wouldn’t immediately condemn Nazis celebrating and rallying in support of them…. Not one politician, except our own Gov. Ron DeSantis. His silence should terrify every American— and it’s not the first time," said Rep. Smith on Twitter.

While there appeared to be a separation between conventional attendees to the TPUSA event and the Neo-Nazi crowd, Smith pointed out some images where Nazi flags and, "DeSantis country," are shown in the same picture. However, it is unclear whether the man flying the flag is associated with the Nazi demonstrators.

One man had a sign that glorified Governor DeSantis and former US President Donald Trump (R) in which Smith stated, "The homophobic, transphobic, racist and anti-Semitic 'contributions' actual Nazis are praising their “glorious leader Ron DeSantis” for are so vile and reprehensible, I won’t repeat them. By failing to condemn this, Governor DeSantis fully condones and embraces this hate."

While there has been no official condemnation yet from the DeSantis Administration, we could likely expect one soon. With having received awards from the nation of Israel for his great relationship with the Jewish people, and major platform to combat anti-semitism, claiming Ron DeSantis is a Nazi sympathizer is an extremely hard case to make.

This is one of many sparring matches Smith has had with the Florida governor. Just this year Smith was very critical of DeSantis' "Stop WOKE Act," that was critical of practices such as Critical Race Theory in academia. Smith spoke out against it as the representative of the University of Central Florida area stating, "The DeSantis regime has made the anti-racist mission of my alma mater AGAINST THE LAW."

Smith is the same legislator that defended Socialism on the floor of the Florida House of Representatives.
