Why S2 and forums make it hard to be a fan

LMA is in an extended slump and other players are regressing to their norm. We can all agree on the problem - but what is the solution? Do you just keep on keeping on, or do you try something different? (eg having LMA spend more time in the post) Do you stick with what worked earlier in the season, or do you make adjustments?

I suggested LA adds a 3 point shot this summer and work on improving his post game which he will need for sustained playoff success. Unfortunately, without practice time you have to stick with the plan this season and make sure things get worked on in the summer so that next year the team can take another step.

I agree. You've taken over the board. You've been suspended twice in the last month, and are still baiting posters (which I copied above), but have fun.

It's your forum, now. Some of us have found a new home. :devilwink:

You made 8 posts since then to this thread. The long goodbye? Or did your car break. Need a ride?

Some of us are more interested in the truth than simple debate, but you keep filling that Ox Box with your half-truths.

And while I disagree with your contention that forums make it hard to be a fan, this thread certainly could be used as one of those cherry-picked facts you're so fond of spewing to support your thesis.

Your missing the whole point of a debate I post numbers to favor my argument you post numbers to favor your argument and somewhere in the middle the truth and a solution lies. LA takes more shots in the post his FTA per shot increase. He tends to do that more as a C than a PF. As a C he is more efficient, I just wish 82games had stats that showed how well the team plays with LA by position.

Personally I tend to think they play better with him in the post and someone else on the perimeter.

Thanks for lowering my opinion of you, suggesting someone has a mental handicap is a personal insult and against the rules. Furthermore, my cousin has Aspergers and it makes his life tough, he has a hard time communicating with people and because of it has very few friends, he is also heavily picked on at school, to the point of being borderline suicidal.

Troll my posts all you want but your better than this act like it.

"Technically" he didn't say you had Asperger's. But even if he had I'm not so sure it would be an insult.

These people either have or been suspected to have Asperger's:

Daryl Hannah, Abraham Lincoln, Alan Turing, Albert Einstein, Bela Bartok, Nikola Tesla, Hans Asperger, Robin Williams.

And since you've made grammar and spelling an issue in the forum it should be "... you're better than this..."

I think the real Denny Crane had the best comeback for his own mistakes, "It's the mad cow kicking in"!

So meese, here's a question for you. After all this debate is it still hard to be a fan on the forum?

Thanks for the editing, your reading comprehension needs work though. I suggested that I would rather use actual English than shorten words specifically to get 140 characters like this forum was Twitter. I never corrected anyone's grammar or spelling, I do that enough for work.

As it relates to Aspergers, just because there have been some functional adults who may or may not have suffered from the disease does not make it any less insulting than calling someone a whore, or suggesting someone get checked for aids. I can come up with a great list of people who were successful adults and whores, I can also come up with a compelling list of people who were successful and had or have Aids/HIV.

I never said anyone had aids, it was implied, (the same as it was implied that I have Aspergers) but I was suspended for it. Be consistent, if providing a list of successful people that suffer from a particular infliction makes it not an insult than MM and myself should have never been suspended, because I can certainly provide such a list.

Otherwise, let's just move on an discuss basketball.

There are aspects to this thread that continue to bother me, but for the most part it gives me faith that posters on this forum are capable of having dignified conversation. Unfortunately, it also makes it easier for me that LA is out injured and the team is winning without him. Without LA on the floor, I have no reason to root for anyone to go 6-25 from the field. Furthermore, it helps that without LA, Lillard and Batum get far more aggressive, which is really all I want. If LA is going to be a jump shooter fine, then Lillard and Batum need to be aggressive in getting their offense if his shot is not falling. Lillard does this a lot more than Batum but both still defer way too much to LA. Lillard and Batum being aggressive makes us a better team and that is my main goal. For playoff success if you depend solely on one player you cannot win, Jordan needed Pippen, Kobe needed Gasol and Shaq, Lebron needed Wade and Bosh.

Bean soup and oatmeal. That's all my teeth can handle. I'm sensitive.

You could also eat Jello and Snack Pack's unless the sugar is too much, but I am sure they have a sugar free version of at least Jello.

Mad Cow is my excuse. What's jlprk's?
It could be that he's exhausted from following 2 consecutive D league games (well, he did fall asleep through most of one) and doing the scouting report on Allen Crabbe. So being known now as King Crabbe, he's probably still adjusting.( jlprk, feel free to insert "you're" in place of "he's" here)

You really do that? Damn, dude... it's just a forum. lol.

You're not a true fan. But, many of us already knew this. You root for failure so you can be "right" on the internet. That's even more fucked up than those of us who post here and cheer for the team to succeed.

Okay PapaG, I am sorry I am not as good of a fan as you.

Yep as long as Blazers win I feel just fine about it, only feel bad when the 6-25 leads to terrible losses.

But, in essence, you're hoping for something bad so you can be right.... win or lose, really. ('Cause I believe I've seen both.)

So, how did you find out my first name? Are you literally stalking me on the internet?
