Question. How did Nate come by the power to permanently ban a member where there is no review process, and clearly more than a few member think he (Nate) over reacted in haste.

Those of us that ignore you may just not be responding to gender issues or other social issues because they always end in a huge meltdown. I try to avoid the fracas overall. I don't expect to resolve social issues here. I mainly pop in to talk Blazers, see interesting news pieces that other Blazer fans find, and to entertain myself. I could say more, but I don't want to get banned/suspended/PMed. However, I would just ignore certain posters who clearly are out of touch with the world or are trolling. Except for me. Don't ignore me.

Honestly, I do think some posters here lack perspective. After the experiences I have had on other sites the mods here seem like nice, reasonable people! I've seen sites that are draconian, sites that are anarchy, and sites that combine the 2 in some confusing, arbitrary manner.

I've been on forums before where I didn't even want to register because of how hard the posters were on new people, and how quickly the mods would ban someone.

From what I recall you repeatedly asked him to explain his comment over an over until he confirmed that he had said you were emotional or whatever because of some relationship issues and then he was banned. It is likely that is the comment was left alone the situation would have not continue to escalate.

Without knowing or caring to know that you were have relationship issues in real life I just took the comment as PapaG offering an explanation as to why some of your comments came off as abrasive. Similar to him suggesting you were on your period.

I missed the boiling over point, and I may or may not have seen the beginning (it's hard to know where it started in particular that day, and let's be honest, Nate and Papa have been going at it for some time)..... But Papa was instigating. I maybe missed something Nate said in the early part of the recent issue, but Papa was pushing on Nate and was referencing something that had nothing to do with Papa (when Nate called me a dick). Then Papa took a personal swipe by mentioning something about Nate's relationship (I have no idea if true or not, but the swipe was unnecessary). So...... as much as I don't think Papa should be perma-banned, he played his role and he did deserve a suspension.

I love how our longest threads are these bitch sessions about someone getting suspended or banned for being a dick. I like Papa, but come on people. He can come back on with a new name (as he's done in the past).

And if you look at my posts towards him before he posted the attack, which one of those posts was abrasive? I was merely asking him why he always had to come into a thread about Aldridge and freak out? He was in the middle of freaking out on Brian when I posted it, so it's not like I was the one who spun him up. He was already going at warp speed.

I cry foul when someone attacks another poster about their personal life. I don't personally care if you call me stupid, or arrogant, or you think my opinions on the team are moronic. I care when someone brings up MM's cancer, or Kingspeed's bi-polar condition, or tries to attack crandc's lifestyle, etc etc etc.

Maybe my post towards Marazul came off as antagonistic, but I was trying to point out that he didn't have the full perspective on PapaG because he doesn't post much on the main forum. I could have phrased it better, but the point I was trying to make was that he didn't have all the information.

How did I personally attack PapaG though? What did I say that provoked his attack on me? Nobody can answer this, and yet I keep getting called out for "goading" or "trolling" him.

Honestly nate he didn't attack you with that comment he mistakenly made once. He realized he made it and refused to address it. You kept badgering him to acknowledge it and when he didn't you said something along the lines of how the fact he wasn't mentioning it meant something.

Just as cmeese said, papa tried to avoid confrontation during that argument, i still advocate for papags right to post here, you can hate me for it...I just don't think papag deserved to be banned THIS TIME

Hey Nate..I am trying to be respectful and forthright in saying this, I dont think one would have to look through many threads to see where you and he would clash. Often for no reason other than you both seem to not like each other. Nothing wrong with that, I have a poster that I just cant allow myself to read for fear that I will want to jump on him and his posts with both feet...I cant help it..difference is that it does bring to question your ability to ban someone that you feel this way about. It is unfortunate that Sly did not perform that feat instead of you as there would be no apparent personal motive.

I personally can go either way. I would like to re-sign him and bring in a few more pieces to make a run next season, but I also would understand if Neil chose to deal him. I'm beyond the point where I'm going to argue either way because we've discussed it to death.
