I respect your opinion, and I'm trying to hopefully explain WHY I did it, or at least how I viewed the situation. You're right, he and I have a long and storied feud that spans the course of years. The reason why I took action is because I was the one who unbanned him from the last permanent ban that he incurred. We allowed him back under the condition that the personal attacks would stop. Completely. He was on probation and there was no term for that probation. We didn't have to allow him back at all. So as the person who brought him back unilaterally, I felt that his breaking the conditions of his probation was justification to remove him again.

This also wasn't the first time he has attacked people or gotten into arguments, so I think he had a lot of chances to change, but he simply couldn't.

I think I remained pretty calm during the whole thing. He was the one being argumentative and inflammatory





As I said, I wanted to know what he meant. I took his ignoring me to mean that he knew he had crossed a line, and he didn't want to admit that he had.

I just think that A. People make mistakes, and B. It's just a sports forum, if some one calls you a loser or something you shouldn't take it to heart. That being said I see a lot of confrontation between both of you, and depending on how strict you want to be you could make a case for each of you personally attacking the other. I personally view it as neither of you really did much of anything.
 
I can honestly say that I think it's a shame PapaG is gone. He had his flaws, but I liked him.

I can also say that he was a challenge for moderators, because he (in my experience) took it upon himself to peck at moderators, hoping to make them crack. It didn't bother me, but obviously that kind of behavior is going to be irritating to many of his targets.

Spud & I talked about how in the basketball forum, we'd make a comment or ask a question in the discussion and got ignored, where questions and comments from male posters got responses. Either by coincidence all the women are super boring posters or are views are considered by definition less important than men's.

I honestly do not recall you posting in the normal forum all that much in day to day Blazer discussions. Mainly see you in OT. And I had no clue spud was a girl. It seems like some girls think guys make their sex an issue, yet I have hardly ever seen a new poster come in and mention that they're a guy. For all I know, many of the new posters can be. But I have seen a few girls do it. BF was the worst in that she felt she needed to go over the top to somehow earn respect. Nobody gives a shit.

The reason I let MarAzul know was that when he found out I was gay he said something like "god gave you a dick and instructions what to do with it". And several other posters were ahead of me.

As for making a typo when in a hurry, I guess that shows that women should be bosses and men secretaries.

Doing just fine. No kids yet, but in a serious relationship that's fulfilling, so that's pretty exciting itself.

Thanks. Parenting is very exciting. And exhausting. But definitely enjoyable.
