I might think about it, I am getting a PS3 first. The Wii is a hands on system. It uses motions sensors. </div>I have connections :happy0144:

Im not sure if im going to get this or not, for some reason I dont want PS3, I much rather have a x360. For some reason I just dont want a PS3, im sure it will be great but I play sport games mostly, and I like madden and nba live much better on xbox.

I own an XBox 360, and I can honestly say that if I could have done it again I would have went for the Wii. Sure it might target a younger audience overall, but it still gives gamers a slew of titles aimed at older audiences. Resident Evil (4 I believe), for Gamecube alome was rated M and was supposed to be very gory. It is consistently ranked on lists as a Top 100 game ever, even Top 10 sometimes.Wii is also getting Call of Duty, which is aimed at older audiences. Yet we all know its pawnage. Then we have the classics like Zelda and Mario. All RPG games these days are based on titles like Zelda, simply because every game is incredible. I recently bought Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and while the game is good, it still doesn't touch any Zelda game I've ever played.Alot of people are simply reluctant to buy Nintendo products because of the presentation. People see games based on green dinosaurs and Italian midgets and they immediately think: "That's geeky, that's looserish." However, you will rarely find any specialized Nintendo product that is not atleast solid. I don't care what you say, you can't argue that Nintendo games are legendary, and you also can't argue that recent attempts and remakes of titles are not comparable. People, trust me, find a way to atleast play the Wii. Find a way to make yourself stop listening to the gay noises of Yoshi and the homosexual cries of Link, and just play these games.Take it from a guy who thought Nintendo was garbage, switched to XBox and discovered he'd made the biggest mistake of his life. Sure PS and XBox make a wider variety of games for older players, but its more about how fun a game is. Nintendo still produces fun games that people will always remember.I'm not discounting other systems - far from it. While I was dissapointed by my XBox, it is still a solid system. The same will go for both PS3 and Wii. I just urge you guys who are leaving Wii out of the picture to try it. Go and play Zelda. Try out Madden with the strange controller. Put aside all opinions you have of the games being childish and look at the good.Yeah Nintendo has gone downhil over the years, but they will always be THE system people remember and their content will always be the standard by which everything compares.

RE4 got Game of the year in either 05 or 06.

KMart is pretty much right on. Zelda is pretty much awesome. Metroid Prime is incredible. And if you haven't played Smash Bros., then you have no right to an opinion on any video game. The biggest problem with Nintendo products is that towards the end of the life of the system, they basically stop making games altogether. Nintendo is busy preparing games for its next system and 3rd party titles are only being made for other systems. That can definitely suck. And yeah, there'll probably be some games that just won't ever be on Wii. We'll see.The big thing for me is definitely the price tag. I'll be damned if I'm going to spend 600 bucks on a game system. 250 is high enough, but I might go for it, depending on how I feel in a few weeks. We'll see.The motion thing is pretty cool. They've used this technology before with that Kirby game... I don't remember what it's called and I'm not looking it up. Tilt and something. We'll see how well it translates.

Seriously, I am really turned off by this console. I mean I read a bunch of stuff on the Wii and this is what I pretty much got from it:-A bunch of shorter mini-games-Not really fun unless you play it maybe for a party or with friends-Graphics are as good as Gamecube-Extreme gamers can't play those 4+ hours playing... who wants to be waving their arms around for a whole day? What can you do when you want to play when you're home sick?-Very kid-orientedI'm not getting this. I'll let my friends get it and just play there... it's more of a party console with mostly short games that include you waving your arms around. Very creative idea though.

Zelda is not a minigame, Metroid will not be a minigame, Smash Bros. won't either. That's just stupidity. There will be minigame related things on the Wii, but that doesn't mean you will have to buy them, and that doesn't mean the system will be limited to those games. As for the waving your arms around thing, that's nonsense as well. Not every game will have motion incorporated into it. That's like saying you can't drive a porsche at 100 mph all the time. You don't have to.I don't think the not really fun unless with friends thing is valid, either. I doubt it will be any different in that respect than the gamecube. I honestly don't have any trouble having fun playing the gamecube by myself. What they should really say is that the Wii will have much better multiplayer games than the other systems and probably fewer in depth RPG games. I think that would be a more fair assessment. It sounds like whatever you read is saying that the Wii will be a piece of sh*t that a bunch of first graders will buy to play with their little sister. I'm sorry, but I've seen this argument before for the gamecube, and I wasn't disappointed with that system. Different people look for different things, but that doesn't mean their review of the system isn't a little biased.

One big reason I am getting the Wii is because of the price tag. 250 bucks for the system, the controller and the game Wii Sports which is a good representation on how the Wii works. It is much cheaper then the other Systems; $600 for a PS3 is retarded.

Very creative idea though.</div>Your opinon came off as ignorant and biased.- 1. A bunch of shorter mini-games? Are you an idiot? In the debut games alone, Wii is getting Call of Duty and the new Zelda, which is said to have over 70 hours of gameplay! Like Justice said, when games like Metroid come out, Resident Evil, there will be even more long games. Sure there are options of Mini-Games, but every system has that.- 2. I will have to agree, the graphics don't seem to be much improved.- 3. Not every game uses that feature of "waving arms around." In fact, I believe that you have the option to not use those features at all.- 4. Generally, in my experience, I've learned that people who say that Nintendo products are "kiddy" have yet to even play those games. Why does the presentation of a game, whether it be cartoony, dark, violent... When does the story of a game, whether it be collecting apples or shooting aliens... overshadow how good the individual game actually is? I've played violent games like "Elder Scrolls IV," and they are nothing compared to kiddier games of the same style in Nintendo fashion like Zelda.Have you ever heard of a game called Metroid Prime? That is one of the darkest, gloomiest, even horrific games I've ever played at times. One of the best gaming periods I had was last summer where I went back and played Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Ocarnia of Time... All games rated E, all games that are supposedly "kiddy"Saying you won't buy a game because it's "kiddy" is stupid. It's downright retarded. No one says "Star Wars" is stupid because its aimed at all ages. Saying Nintendo products are "kiddy" and therefore less fun to play, or less cool to play, or not worth your time is absolutely ludicrous. I have never, I repeat I have NEVER met someone who hasn't loved Nintendo games once they actually took the time to pick them up. Basically, your post could be reduced to this:"I don't want to buy a Wii because I don't want to"Don't try and justify what you want with idiotic gestures. The Wii hasn't even come out yet for God's sakes! You haven't even tried the f*cking control system yet! Why are we ripping the Wii for no reason at all? This is yet another example of people following common stereotypes about something and further limiting themselves from perhaps discovering something fun, something awesome. The Wii has a solid chance of sucking, but then again, so does the PS3, XBox 360, XBox 720, PS4, or the next computer. Why don't you give it a chance instead of pre-determining it as garbage before you've even laid hands on the finished product?

I read a pretty good breakdown of a PS3/Wii on CHUD.com today. He made the point that the Wii is actually trying to make a step in gaming, revolutionizing it with it's aspects. Pointed out the PS3 is simply upgrading it's features such as DVR, MP3 player. Not really changing any aspect towards evolution of video games. Basically being complacent as they know people will buy their systems and feel no drastic changes need to be made with games/look of system.

I just played the Wii today at my friends. Man I havta tell ya, Its SO DAMN FUN in groups. We had a tourny. in Wii Boxing and I won ($10! Woo!)A couple of my friends were playing Zelda, Looked pretty sweet.
