Wilkens Happy With Knicks Depth

Well Crawford will have to come off the bench if Houston is healthy. Houston is the leading scorer on the Knicks and the only outside shooting threat the Knicks have. Or Lenny could play a three guard offense and put TT on the bench. Have Marbury, Jamal and Houston play the 1,2 and 3. Rebounding wont be a problem as TT rebounds like he's 6-4 anyhow. Either way the Knicks are deep and will be looking to score alot of points this season.

This will be a problem. Tim Thomas is making too much money to sit on the bench, and he can't really play the 4 because his career high in rebounding his 4.9 so he's stuck at 3. Houston is too soft to start at the 3. There will probably be times when him Marbury, and Crawford will be on the floor at the same time but, never to start. He will play many players who are bigger and stronger than him. This will be the same problem the 02-03 Knicks had height. Their tallest player was Kurt Thomas at 6'9. Every game they got killed on the boards.

But look at Tim Thomas...he's a nonfactor in most of the games. I dont think it's a good idea to start Houston at the 3 it was just an option as Tim Thomas is garbage anyhow. Looks like Crawford is definetely coming off the bench for Marbury and Houston.
