Aside from the slew of candidates who will vie for the democractic nomination to take on Trump ( should he still be in office...he probably will be) there lies the possibility that Trump may have to face a republican(s) in a primary battle. Such a move has not taken place against an incumbent since elder Bush was challenged in 1992 by Pat Buchanan.

Will Trump be challenged in a republican primary in 2020? John Kasich? Mitt Romney? Ted Cruz? Marco Rubio? Jeff Flake? Ben Sasse? Someone else?

Flake and Kasich are not really Republicans, nor do Republicans care much for them.

They are swamprats and anti-Americans, in the vein of John McCain.

But I think you'll have a different Trump running in 2020, and winning easily.

I see no American who can make a race against the results so far.

I'd guess a republican like Romney just might be challenging Mike Pence in 2020...I think Kasich was talking about running as an independent. Lot of republicans are going to switch to independent status. Divorce court govt doesn't work. Cruz, Rubio, Flake probably don't stand a chance...Trump has already belittled them without getting much flak back about it. I'd vote for Mueller if he ran about now..he seems to be the adult in the room so far.

You clowns are sad. For mockery to be effective, it must be accurate.

I have never expressed any problem at all with "animals come out at night - whores, skunk pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, junkies, sick, venal." Not once. Didn't happen.

I believe both of you have qualified yourselves to be banned for repeatedly posting personal insults.

Worse, both of you used a vile, racist word every bit as offensive as the dreaded "N" word.

SPD, where are you hiding Denny Crane's body? :dunno:

Way to be a moderator, btw.

Waiting for dviss1 to call you out for your racist "humor".

He's not a sticks and stones kind of guy.

...so anyone who calls Trump out for his BS can't be a Republican and are anti-American?

...hmmm, interesting hypothesis ...woefully misguided, and warped, but still sadly interesting.

...though he won't run, I think Trey Gowdy could pull it off.

I apologize for saying that your fictional character is morphing into another fictional character. I have deleted the posts that have upset you.

I likewise apologize Maris, wouldn't want to hurt your character's feelings

Wait, this Trey Gowdy?

...Yup, IMO, I think he has the leadership skills, the ability to communicate coherently without insulting people, he's a great speaker and shoots from the hip, and unlike Trump he has moral fiber...and he at least knows the law and The Constitution.

I predict that governor Kasich will challenge him. I will vote for governor Kasich in the primary.

Edit: Oh, didn't I tell you? I'm a registered Republican but I hate what Trump has done to the party.

Kasich has never talked about running as an Independent. He denied such talk today.

I would like to apologize for pointing out that the character of maris61 is not the same as the person behind the keyboard. But I will NOT apologize for the fact that SlyPokerDog is a big pile of shit.

I hate you dog!

nah, just kidding sly

Good for you Lanny

Dog shit, to be exact.
I've met Sly and his sweetheart. I'm here to tell you that his sweetheart is a lot more interesting than Sly.

Hint: If you want to be on Sly's good side, scratch him behind the ears and on the tummy (the funniest thing, if you scratch him just right on the tummy, his hind leg will kick back and forth in a rapid motion).

old news on my part but he did talk about it after Trump was elected.....he must have walked it back since but he said he considered it right after the elections after showing disgust for Trump's election

There's an @HCP and Mrs @HCP joke somewhere in there, but out of respect for @SlyPokerDog , I won't do it.

That's ridiculous, and certainly not my opinion.

The swamprats mentioned have long been a thorn in the side of most Republicans for their support of many Dem positions and their disastrous pork-barrel graft.

I apologize, Maris, for not previously posting in this thread. I hope your pain can be alleviated by posting a few more articles from Fox News.

I thought something was missing in the usual attacks on simple facts.

I do appreciate the wielding of your razor-like wit among other posters' witless playground denials.

News flash to Lanny.

There is no office of THE PRESIDENT OF THE STATE OF OHIO.

Witless, how ironic.

What's wrong with HCP? I've seen a ton of unflattering remarks about him and yet I've seen none of it deserved.

It's mostly an inside joke. Just so you know, he's fine with it.

Seems to me, you guys are the ones who are not really Republicans, or are RINOs I suppose.

- Republicans are (or were) against deficits
- Republicans are (or were) against the Russians
- Republicans are (or were) against tariffs
- Republicans are (or were) for taking care of our international agreements and friends
- Republicans believed in the FBI and law enforcement
- Republicans believed in respect, rules, and manners

Whoever you guys are, you are definitely not Republicans.
