He received the 2nd-most votes from the coaches (LMA was first). I guess that's "fringe" to non-homers.
Where is your source?

TNT announces the subs in order of votes. It was discussed repeatedly on this board when the AS reserves were announced.
I never heard that before. What is your source? (not that I doubt you, I'm just curious)

The very first line of the video was in no particular order. http://www.nba.com/video/channels/t.../20140130-inside-west-reserves.nba/index.html
Welp, that pretty much shoots down that theory.

Where is the source on Lillard being a "fringe" All Star?
An argument can be made that Dragic should have made it over Lillard this year
I don't consider him a lock at all next year
Their numbers were almost identical, the Blazers had the more successful team which is usually the tie breaker. What exactly is the argument to be made for Dragic? He had a higher PER? He shot a better percentage? They had almost the exact same points, assists, and rebounds per game.
Because you can argue Dragic played better on both sides of the ball.
And he probably did.
Dragic doesn't demand the attention Lillard gets from opposing defenses.

You'd never consider a blazer to be good, so this isn't surprising.
Hey, I can play extremes too!
Huh?
Regular and advanced stats favor Dragic over Lillard.
You're just not informed.

Dragic was more efficient a better defender and made a team everyone expected to be in full tank mode a threat to make the playoffs. Lillard was great but honestly at the all star break it was Dragic who deserved to go.
Then the coaches aren't informed. You can go talk to them, if you'd like.
You're just not informed, I suppose.

Its really easy, instead of making posts like this one that make you look like an ass who is just trolling, to take 2m out of your life and actually bring up the stats to back up your arguements. http://www.basketball-reference.com...m=0&p1=lillada01&y1=2014&p2=dragigo01&y2=2014 Dragic is better in the advanced stats but they are very very similar to the point where its almost moot.
The coaches pick mostly on team success, not the individual players. Same records and Dragic probably makes the team over Lillard.
Lillard can thank Aldridge for playing like a MVP and carrying the team.
