I'm rooting for him but I'd have to say no. He currently needs (I believe) 278 hits. As a full time player I would say yes in two more seasons. But I've got a feeling that this will probably be his last season as an everyday player. JMO.
 
i say yes. With the DH, he can play well beyond this season.
 
If he wants to hang around and do it he certainly will.

The DH is USUALLY reserved for a power hitter that can no longer field. But yeah having the DH option will help, I just don't think it will happen with the Yankees due to both A-Rod & Jeter & perhaps even Soriano. My point is that he'll need 500+ ABs to reach it in 2 years & he's not going to get it with the Yankees. JMO.

I agree, not with the Yankees... but if he does want to continue playing, someone will give him the chance...
