I'm not asking if he should, but if he will.

I think he will, and he should, but I still hope it doesn't happen.

Something is gonna happen. This hasn't even hit national media yet, just wait it's gonna be so fun to hear quick and canzanos bullshit on this.

More than likely the organization was aware of it already...

No

I would hope not. He seems to be getting somewhere with Meyers.

I hope for Hughes' sake that LMA was already out the door, and that his words don't contribute.

Yes if he wasn't ordered to leak this. No if this was the plant needed to give Olshey the room to operate.

Yes, I'm still in denial!

No history of this type of stuff, so most likely a behind-closed-door spanking, but nothing publicly. It's not like he leaked something behind everyone's back, he just leaked by accident during a live interview. He will learn his lesson and continue to coach well.

If you think this was some kind of innocent mistake, I got an igloo to sell you in Arizona.

These guys are professionals that are fully aware of non disclosures. Even my lower level employees know not to say shit because of the non disclosures.

In the end does it have any bearing on the outcome? No. Therefore my answer is no.

Maybe he thought since this was some podunk news source in the middle of nowhere Indiana, it wouldn't get leaked.

Welcome to 2015, Kim.

I would say it does have bearing. If your employees can't keep your mouth shut, it tarnishes the strength of your leadership. Only a fool would think its okay to make a statement like that in public, knowing if it leaked, it would give the organization you work for a black eye.

Anybody trying to spin this or say it's not a big deal has obviously never worked in a corporate environment before.

This is a huge fuck up. I don't know if they're going to fire him but the team is going to have to scramble to pick up the pieces.

I think this is highly likely.

Exactly! Any executive, or employee for that matter, leaking any information would be immediately terminated.

Terminated for being dumb..... my guess.

Here's my answer from another post: "Hughes should be fired just for being dumb; and this maybe explains why Leonard took so long to develop; I know that at one time Leonard said something to the effect that he had been practicing all the wrong things for the first couple years here. And this is also a reflection on the head coach, and makes me wonder about him; I also wonder why he hasn't tried to hire some new assistant coaches who might be higher quality; did the Blazers make a try at Monte Williams? And I know there have been a couple other guys available who specialize at defense."
And in another post of mine I state I believe ultimately the reason Aldridge will leave is because of the coaching; because they don't hold him accountable and ask enough of him. So yeh, maybe there should be more than one firing. Is Thibideau still available? (I guess you can see I am not in a very good mood this morning).

That's what I think. Tell the guy he fucked up, and put him on a short leash. But I don't see how it had any detrimental effect whatsoever on whether LaMarcus decides to stay or go, or if, prior to LaMarcus making an actual decision, other free agents decide to come here or not. No harm, no foul.

Terrible PR and he should get yelled at or fined but no I care about the work he does with players not PR blunder. It's not as if this hurt our free agent chances or anything.

Which is unfortunate because he actually seems to be good at coaching and player development.

Under Hughes, none of our big guys have developed as well as expected. Some got worse, like Batum.

As I said in my earlier post in this thread, posters keep saying that we should hire a big man coach. Hughes is so ineffective, that he's invisible

I say Paul Allen should choose between Hughes and Olshey. I think I know who I'd go with.

Why fire him? All he did is tell the truth.. I dont blame the guy. Atleast he doesnt lie like Olshey and Mr I want to retire the best blazer ever and i'll resign here

I dont blame Kim, hes a real dude
